If youre interested in sociology, his lectures are incredibly entertaining, engaging, passionate, and intriguing. I loved every second of his class. Hes very knowledgeable, funny, and experienced. He grades papers and short responses on exams against other students, so grading criteria can be elusive. I found it to not work in my favor.

Assigns a lot of reading, but never tests on it, all tests and assignments are based on class lectures, which aren't mandatory attendance but you'll miss a lot. Biggest issue is half of class is repeating information from last class which can be frustrating.

I think he takes some warming up to. I can see why people would say he can be boring (classes are mostly lecture) but honestly I've never felt that way. As long as you take an interest in the subject matter and actually pay attention in class it's usually really interesting. You can tell he puts in a lot of effort and genuinely enjoys teaching.

It is a talent to be that boring. I assumed since the class would focus around social problems and debates that it would be intriguing but God he's terrible. Listening to him give lectures on power-points is torture.
