Art seemed a scary subject at first, but I loved this class! I wish it could have been longer! I am not an artist, but I truly enjoyed the drawings and painting even though they were time consuming. He grades on how well you follow directions, not on skills. I would take his class again. Very easy exams, he practically gives all the answers!

Prof. Spalding is wonderful. I had never really believed I could create anything until I took his class. He made me understand how to connect art to other content for my students. I will always be grateful. Take him for art, and you will not be sorry. All assignments are relevant.

Enjoyed this class a lot. Professor is very knowledgable and caring. Let's you know exactly what he is expecting on all assignments. You can get exempt from the final if you have perfect points (there are chances for extra credit, take them). Very nice professor and an enjoyable class with a very doable amount of work. :-)

I was expecting to do elimentary type art in this class, and that did not happen. It was fun though and I learned alot and actually found out that I do have some talent (ha ha). The professor rocks and you always know what he is expecting. He is great and I highly reccomend him.

Great teacher...knows a lot about the subject and is an amazing artist as well! He is VERY CLEAR on all assignments and sets the semester up to have all articles and projects due in the beginning so that the last couple weeks are enjoyable! :)

He is so excellent. He's really relaxed and doesn't stress about due dates. He takes off 10 points if it's late, but that's not too bad.
