treats you as if you were a child, she's very blind to other ways of solving problems, very specific on all assignments, tough grader, this was supposed to be a class that made it easy transitioning from high school to college, instead she gave us more homework than any other class

Make sure you do ALL of the readings and come to every class. She doesn't take attendance, but you will miss so much from lecture. One big group project, Rock the Vote, & a midterm/final. She is an extremely difficult professor, but she loves what she does. If you're a history major, make sure to take her. If not, it's not an easy A class.

You will have to work for your grade in this class, but its worth it. I loved her class she was very involved in other students comments and opinions. This class is for those with an open mind. The material was adult and graphic at times so if you cant handle mature subjects this class isnt for you. She is big on equality and rights for all races!

She lectures over a lot of terms every day, and expects you to learn them with every little detail. She only gives test and mid term and grades them in a way I'm not sure anyone can make an A (no one in my class made an A on the mid term). She is very specific when grading and comes off as rude a lot.

Go into this class with an open mind and a willingness to learn and you'll be fine. It's not hard, though because Ms. Stone keeps things fun and exciting! Do not take if you are easily offended as this class got graphic very quickly. Highly recommended! She's very inspiring and has a contagious love for her subject! (She's also great conversation)

Stone keeps things interesting and fun! She trys to make things different. She does not teach the typical history class. It is based mostly on opinion and less on factually information. I would recommend this class to anyone willing to work and learn something.

If you aren't good at working in groups and don't like your final grade being dependent on the work of other people, DO NOT TAKE HER AMERICAN NATION CLASS. I managed a B in her class working my tail off. Her class was what kept me from a 4.0. The class was utterly useless as far as learning anything. It was unorganized and unfair. Don't take it.

pretty hard class, you cover alot of material in a short amount of time and the test are really hard. She is helpful though, she has study groups at her house before tests that realy clear things up. You better be ready to study hard in here to make the grade.

She is a bit too stuck on feminists and non-White persons in her survey of American history. We did have an interesting group project. She seems to have an Amazonian, man-hating perspective that reveals itself from time to time. It's one thing to be pro-woman, nothing wrong with that, but it's a whole other thing to be vehemently anti-male.

I disagree totally with the previous postings. I loved this class, and I think Prof. Stone is encouraging and interesting. She may spend some time talking about women's history, but I wouldn't call it an 'agenda.'
