Comment:
Dr. Grant is an extremely difficult teacher. She does not try to understand her students' logic but wants her students to think as she does. This is difficult especially for problems that ask students to represent data. She also talks down certain students during office hours and uses statements that make them feel as if they are not smart.

I like Dr. Grant. She is fair and is always willing to help. Sometimes it is hard to sort out exactly what she wants, but if you ask her questions, she will help you! A lot of people don't like her class b/c it is tough compared to lower level classes, but keep in mind that this is an upper level class and is supposed to be more challenging.

Dr. Grant believes the only class you are taking is hers. Although the work load is intense, I have learned the most in her class compared to any other methods. Her directions are confusing and unclear so email her with questions. She will help students if you go and bother her. She also takes attendance 3 minutes before class begins!

This woman is supposed to teach you how to be a good educator and she is absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had. She is rude, disrepectful, and down right evil. She is Satan and I am surprised I learned anything in her class. She harassed many of her students and often accused me and others of being "too good for her assignments". DO NOT TAKE

I learned a lot in this class, but the experience was miserable. Way too much work, brutal grader, truly heartless human being. She is not helpful or approachable. Homework is due on a daily basis. Class is often a waste of time. I hate her more than just about any creature on earth!

Took her for study abroad in Australia. Bad teacher. Spent weeks after trip doing work for the trip while I worked full time. Not the least bit understanding. Would drag us out all day. Overall a good experience in Australia, minus the teacher.

She is very good hearted and if you can get past her style of teaching being different, then you will learn more than just content in her course. Remember she is human too.

Directions are extremely wordy and hard to follow, you can easily miss something. She is very condescending and insulting. Not approachable at all. Save yourself and try not to take math methods with her. So much busy work and homework on everyday of the week, including Sundays!

Comment:
Overload of work in this class; extremely time consuming. Too many group projects; it is hard to meet all the time. Also, too much of the grade depends on ratings from classmates. Grant is a really hard grader and her comments are unprofessional. However, she is really smart and I learned a ton in her class. Overall, I actually really like her.

You will spend all semester doing work for this class so your other classes will suffer. There's a lot of group work, so clear your calendars in advance for countless group meetings. I worked extremely hard and managed to get an A. Even with all the endless work I learned more in 339 than any other ETE class at Bradley! Grant is very strange!

Its a shame that she was the only teacher that taught certain required classes...take them at community college! I did and it was much less stressful!

It is true that this class is extremely difficult and a true consumer of your time. The amount of work required causes your other classes to take a back seat. However, the work required builds on your knowledge causing you to walk out with a new understanding of teaching the subject. I enjoyed taking this course.

Dr. Grant is a power hungry teacher who doesn't care if you learned or not. She thinks that she is really great and makes you tell her what a great teacher she is. Her class has a ton of busy work that takes up all of your time. By the end of the semester I was just hoping for a C. Overall, she sucks. I HATE HER!

Dr. Grant should not be allowed to teach at Bradley University, we go to a private school, and pay good money; therefore, one would expect you would actually learn something by taking this class. Dr. Grant does not explain anything, and she is the rudest, most non-understanding teacher I have ever encountered at this university.

Usually, I like difficult teachers. Usually, I thrive when faced with a challenge. Not so with this class. Dr. Grant was totally unclear with direction, humiliated people in class, and made for an unnecessarily stressful semester. The only way you'll do well in this class is if you get help from someone who has had it before.

Contrary to popular belief, Dr. Grant was one of the BEST professors that I had at BU.Her assgts. were motivating & challenging.I would take her again, if I had the chance. To gain respect, show HER respect, and work hard.Stop whining, and wake up-don't expect for all classes to be easy, because that doesn't equal true learning.

HORRIBLE WOMAN! Very unhelpful and rude. I went to her for help because I was told she was who I needed to see. The woman was extremely rude and stuck her nose in my business and made comments that were not even related to what I asked her. Why is she even a teacher here at Bradley? She is evil!!!

She is the devil. She does not explain herself and yells a lot. She makes you feel very ignorant and will not take time to help you, return emails or phone calls. She needs to go burn in hell...ALIVE. This class makes me very overwhelmed and stressed. She does not teach you how to teach math.

Dr. Grant should never had been the interim chair. She was rude and makes you feel like you are dumb. Doesn't teach you anything but expects that you already know how to teach math to students. Do not take Dr. Grant or go to her for assistance.
