I was so nervous about taking this class because I didn't want to get up in front of the class to make a presentation in front of the whole class in a french. But he made us all feel at ease and made everyone feel like family. I was very impressed by his teaching and he was always so helpful. I want to take him again!

He is one of the best teachers I have ever taken. I learned so much about French Culture and as long as you study, his tests are not that difficult. The entire class is in French so be ready to learn a lot. But he is so helpful and welcoming, if you have any questions he will gladly answer them. Still one of my favorite teachers!!

I had Prof Lanskin for two semesters and even though his classes were entertaining, I find he is a terrible professor. He spends most of the time speaking English and telling stories about himself, and when he figures he?s running out of time, he rushes through the material we were supposed to learn that day. The worst part is that he gets mad at

This class was not what I expected! It is oral com. but we only did presentations the entire semester. I was expecting listening to french movies or other works by communicating, but oh well it was one 20 min. presentation and this prof is very strick! be careful before taking him...

Hes really funny! Hes a good prof. but sometimes he was a little confusing. Test are easy as long as you study the material covered in class. (He will tell you what will be on the exams). Study, go to class and you'll do great! I do recommend him!!

M. Lanskin's Oral Communication class can be difficult at times. You have to prepare a 20 min presentation during the semester. At the end of the semester for the oral final exam, you will be asked questions on one of the presentations that were presented but you won't know which one it will be. Interest in French, and lots of studying is a must.

I know the girl that wrote the last comment. She has personal issues with the prof. He's really good, but you must 1. Speak French 2. Do your work. I only took it for Civ... So I don't know how he is in other classes. Good luck

Prof Lanskin is a nice man, but it doesn't help much. 2nd class with him, but what he wanted wasn't clear even to me. 4 tests, and 7 pg essay on a topic that he must ok. He is very limiting on subjects and doesn't give any guidelines, even when asked. I recommend him for other classes, but for french civ beware.

It is an interesting class. It covers all aspects of French civ, but he focuses on the arts. This class is all in French and has a 7pg paper due at the end of the semester. I recommend him, but make sure you have an almost fluent comprehension of the language.

Advanced Grammar is a good class. All in French, it covers some difficult concepts. He is an extremely funny man and is passionate about everything French...plus he's just odd. I recommend him, but study for his exams; the four of them aren't easy.
