Jean was discouraging and a unreasonable marker. She was quite rude when dealing with her but she was easy to contact outside of class via email I would never take a course with her again and if you can get out of one she is teaching do so.

Grades tough but the lecturestext will prepare you for it. Instructs in a way to keep students engaged and contributing. Takes the time to listen to students in class. If you put the effort in and pay attention, you will get a lot out of her class. It is university course, not everything is clear cut, you have to be able to think on your own.

Jean is an incredibly difficult professor. That being said she is extremely knowledgable and if you are willing to put in the work you will learn a lot! She has high expectations for her students and marks very hard. (Make sure you study from the textbook for the midterm!) She may come off as stern but truly cares about her students development.

the worst teacher i have ever had in my academic life. she is very gender oriented and can be rude to students whom she doesn't like. terrible marker and she never knows what she wants. if u ask her questions u never get any helpful answer any way. worst with exams and never know what's in it. not reccomended at all.

Prof. Mills is excellent. Her public speaking course is without question the most important course I've ever taken, and I use what I learned from her every single day. If you want a career in the public eye TAKE JEAN! She can teach Public Speaking in a way no one else can.

By far the best professor at the Mount.. Period.. Very approachable, detailed and directed feedback, actually makes you feel like she cares about you and your success. Don't get me wrong, she won't care about you anymore than you care about you, but she is an excellent motivator and her lectures are very engaging.
