Knows her stuff so I respect her, but overall incredibly unapproachable. She is passive aggressive at times and sometimes totally outside help requested by students. No amount of knowledge is worth the heartburn associate with this class. Be prepared to defend your work and be prepared to be ignored or immediately undercut.

people dont like teachers who are super critical at pratt, i find it refreshing and engaging. critical thinking is the basis for visual communication.

I found her to be self rightious and long winded. as with many of the younger teachers she is very focused on assignments and accumulating alot of useless practice work. she is alright for learning technical skills but not inspiring or imaginative.

Jean is by far the best studio professor I had at PRATT. She effectively demonstrates and teaches the skills we are to learn, and is encouraging in her feedback. She is very approachable and wishes for the success of her students.
