I failed math the last time I took it with a different professor in the Spring 2005 semester. Professor Silva was so helpful, spoke with such clarity, and gave such good notes that I got a B in math this time around (Spring '08.)Her notes were so helpful I am taking them to Graduate School with me to use as a reference!!! :-D

Rushes through a lot of the work and makes many mistakes, if you say something at all or do anything to disrupt her she yells at you but its funny cuz shes so oblivious to everything. The math was alright, not too hard shes a decent teacher, doesnt give partial credit, but helps outside class.

Professor Silva is a really nice lady, but not the best math teacher. She tends to get confused easily and make mistakes, then yell at you because you didnt catch her. If you had high school trig you're fine, but if not I would run. fast...

Silva has no idea what she is doing. She confuses herself when she does problems and gets the wrong answer. She is very nice and lets you retake tests if you tell her you were sick. She's nice but not the best teacher. Very confusing. The class isn't that bad overall if you have previous experience in precalc.

GREAT TEACHER, one of the best at SHU. Loves her job, and it is apparent. Always goes out of her way to help you. She will always tell you at least five questions that are one the test so you can study better. Def. take her class you won't regret it.

Silva ia a little off the wall, but definitely one of the better math teachers at SHU. This is my second time taking Math 101 and my last teacher sucked. Silva makes everything clear and waits until you understand fully. This class isn't bad.

She is really nice, and she expects a lot out of you. Do the homework!! She checks a lot. She says some funny things, and the class go pretty fast. Tests are VERY fair and she really offers help for everything! Trust me.. if you need to find a professor for math TAKE SILVA! you won't regret it

NIce Lady, ALways willing to give extra help. She is very organized when teaching and explains everything step by step Especially in a calculus class. Do all of her homeworks and make sure you study for her test. SHe explains everything that you need to know in order to do well on the tests. Keep up with the class lecture and you will do fine.
