like any other class: study. do readings and study the lectures. since you have to take this class, prof. weidner is probably the best teacher for a hard class like this. just a lot of information, but it's interesting so it's not hard to learn if you study. there are a lot of VERY EASY points and she boosts your grade if you have good attendence

Very helpful instructor is more than generous with extra credit (maybe too helpful). Lab is difficult, but if you study for the quizzes, you will do fine. Work hard and get an A, or slack some and get a B.

Easy A in lecture. But be careful who you have for lab. The lab teacher can really affect your overall grade in the class. Weidner is very generous in extra credit and she gives easy online quizes that can be retaken over and over again.

after taking this class,,.. i regret a bunch of things...especially taking too many units..18 to be exact...i could not keep up with the studying..way too much for me..espec since i also work ..so i hardly have the time to study..i am always tired..make sure u find the time so it does not interfere with your schooling...

Very good prof, makes microbio very interesting, puts emphasis on her lectures. Online quizzes are gifts... Beware of her study guides. They have a CRAPLOAD of "to know" stuff on them and really only 1/3rd of it would actually be on the exams. Other than that, she is very helpful and the labs turned out to be not bad at all.

She really is great. Microbiolgy- how boring right??? She made it interesting. I never once fell asleep in lecture even at 8am! amazing... Try and get into her lab if possible. She knows her stuff, and she writes the tests of course :)

Dr. Weidner is a GREAT teacher!! Since I transferred to State, she is the first teacher I've met who exhibits such passion in teaching. She gets to know most of her students by name and is very easy to talk to. She responds to your emails with a quickness! Totally loved her whole CPS system! Try to get her as your lab instructor as well! She's cool

Great teacher. Very detailed in lecture. If you have good memory, then this should be an easy class. Some questions on the tests are tricky but you'll do fine if you have a high lab grade with an average lecture grade. Also had her for Bio 100.

Dr. Weidner is my FAVORITE teacher at State. She sincerely cares about her students & knew a number of them by name, & she will answer e-mails & all of your questions with clarity & enthusiasm. She is awesome, kids. If you have her for Bio210, try to get her as your lab instructor. Good luck!

Biology is not an easy class and it comes with a lot of work. Weidner realizes this and makes Biology as fun and easy as possible. She gave me a break with my grade at the end of the semester, and tried to relate Biology to our everyday lives. If you have to take the class, take it with her!
