Dr. Johnson has high expectations out of her students, and she gives you a way to reach them through a lot of hard work and independent study. You can't fool her, if you don't understand the material than they essays for the midterms and final will make that abundantly clear. I went to office hours every week, and I learned a lot. Would recommend.

Professor Johnson was one of my absolute favorite professors ever! The class was hard, but only because there was a lot of homework and it was time intensive. If you go to class and stay up on the homework, it wasn't too bad. She is so inspiring and makes the subject very interesting, I would take any class she teaches.

Jeannie Johnson is easily the most riveting lecturer I've ever had. The stories she tells about experiences she's had are incredible and helped me understand really tough concepts. This class is definitely not easy, but she sets you up to succeed as long as you are willing to put in the work. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OFFICE HOURS.

If you're not ready to work, don't consider a Jeannie Johnson class. She is knowledgeable, accessible, and tough but not unreasonable. If you come prepared to read, study, and accept constructive criticism, her class will number among the most educational you've taken. Her thorough study guides mean there's no reason to be unprepared for exams.

Professor Johnson is easily the best lecturer I have ever heard. You can tell she has a ton of experience and inputs stories from the real world into her class. She prides herself on being hard, and she definitely is. Do not take this class if you are looking for an easy A. Make sure you do the reading quizzes they can make or break your grade.

Jeannie is truly one of the best of the best. I had two courses from her at Utah State and grew leaps and bounds in both. Don't expect a walk in the park she will stretch you to new limits but your ROI will be 500x if you really invest in her class and in getting to know Jeannie.

Jeannie is easily the best professor I have ever had. With that being said though, this is a challenging course. I wouldn't take this class if you are expecting to get an easy A. She challenges you to work for your grade in order to be competitive in the workforce and her tests are STRESSFUL! But she would do anything for you. Amazing teacher

Jeannie is a fantastic teacher! She is incredibly personable and truly knows her subject. She is also humble and willing to admit if she is unsure of something. I've taken 2100 and 4460 from her and they both require a lot of reading. Her tests are essays which are rough but if you come in prepared she doesn't grade to hard. Pretty good looking too

Jeannie is easily the best lecturer at USU. There is no one who is better at bringing in real world experience while still encouraging you to bring in your own experience. You'll have to read a lot, and her papers are graded very toughly. Still, if you come out of there unchanged, you did something wrong.

I took this course in my first semester of college 5 years ago, and I still remember learning about the French, Hutterites, Navajo, and USSR. Easily the best lecturer on campus.

She's a good lecturer except she prides herself in being difficult. Grading is very subjective - and less in evaluating the material. Would not take a class with her again.

This class was difficult but well worth it. It was fascinating and Jeannie is a great teacher. If you keep up and do all of the readings you'll be fine. If you don't plan on doing the readings, don't take the class.

Jeannie is a fantastic teacher. She expects that you come to class prepared to discuss the reading assignments. The tests are intimidating, and she does grade strictly, but if you study effectively and prepare well then you will do just fine. She is also very willing to help you if you have questions. I highly recommend taking a class from her.

Johnson prides herself in being difficult and asking a lot of her students. Unfortunately this difficulty is not of the sort that refines the skill and knowledge of a student demonstrated by other faculty in the department. Instead the difficulty of Johnson's classes lies in the lack of clarity and failure to deeply explore relevant material.

She's a very interesting and intriguing person. She talked a lot of her past experience in her lectures, but didn't seem to gloat. I think she did an excellent job at keeping peoples attention, and relating to the class material.

Amazing lectures, engaging as hell. Smart, witty, bold remarks is what is expected of this professor. It's her way or the highway. Memorize everything and say exactly what she wants to hear. Your opinions don't matter, only hers. She's amazing teaching her subjects, she knows her stuff amazingly. Some of us just don't like to be told what to think.
