I took a genetics class with Professor Bell. The lectures were not super informative for the tests and he wasn't very easy to communicate with. The class itself isn't extremely difficult but has its challenges.

bell isnt a hard teacher, and if u study you can get an A with ease. his laugh is rediculous and annoying especially when he is laughing at u for getting the wrong answer (which he did to me all the time). but overall i got an A, very do-able

He allows time to write what is on the Power Points. He is extremely organized, and presents the material in many different ways that allows people who learn with different modalities to get the material. Has a goofy laugh that somehow allows you to relax and participate with ought fear of being ridiculed for being wrong.

Good professor overall. Strange grading habits. Good, easily understood lecturer with lots of experience identifying problem areas, interesting to talk to and available in office hours. A bit strange but in an entertaining way.

Dr. Bell is hilarious and not a hard teacher. I studied for a half hour for the final and got an A in the class... for a cumulative final! Go to class (even if it is boring), go to section (even if it is boring), memorize the things he says he will ask on a test and you will get wrong (most people still will) and use his office hours.

Excellent teacher. I learned so much in his class. He makes it easy. You just have go to class. All his assignments reinforce what he is talking about in class. I loved his teaching style. And at the beginning of the semester he even asks the students what topics they find most interesting. He spends more time on those topics.

Brilliant man, average teacher. His assignments and quizzes are due BEFORE he teaches the content, which can be hard for some, but forces you to actually learn and not just read your notes. Tests are easy compared to the online labs and quizzes. He will help you with anything if you stop and ask him. Enjoyable class overall. GO TO THE LAB CLASS!

Never has a class made me so miserable: the notes and the homework due the next class are rarely related, homework is tedious and unclear, midterms are often on friday mornings, laughs at his own jokes, grades "drafts" as if they are the final paper, homework often sends the student rifling through numerous databases to answer 5 questions-AWFUL!!!!

The worst teacher I have ever encountered. He does not know how to teach or how to set up online lab and quizes. He gives faulty sources and incorrect information. I really think he is a intelligent design believer in disguise trying to covertly chage his student's minds by trying to confuse them. Terrible. And sad.

Absolute worst professor. Way too much work for a three unit class. Assignments are unclear and done on a beta version software with many glitches=frustrating. Lectures are uninteresting; mostly dedicated to debriefing about the last assignment. He also likes to make you feel stupid for not understanding his illogical ramble. I lost all interest.
