I was terrified to take a philosophy course, but this man made me fall in love with it. He covers a lot of existentialist philosophers and always makes lectures fun and interesting. This class was probably my favorite class I've ever taken, and I learned so much. Sadly, I can't take him again because I'm graduating, but everyone else should.

Great guy, great professor. Works with students. Respects everyone. Hilarious!!! Love Dr. Bell. He's nuts and that's what makes him so awesome. May not seem funny at first but once he warms up to you/the class, you'll have a great time. Encourages classroom talk. Conversational type lectures. Oh and he's hot

Love Dr. Bell. Put in effort and he will meet you half way. Always willing to explain things until you understand. Great at making complex material simple. If you don't attend class you won't do well. 1 midterm 1 final. 1 or 2 papers. Allows you to turn in papers until you get the grade you are happy with. I would take him again forever!

Dr. Bell is hilarious and amazing. If you don't understand something, he will help you! He is very respectful and kind to students. One of my favorite professors, if not my favorite. 1 midterm, 1 final, and 1 or 2 papers (1 long or 2 short). Always open to your opinion as long as you can support it. Very laid back. Take him as often as you can!

This teacher is very laid back and has a conversational way of teaching. His lectures don't get boring. His test make you think through all the material from class in order to get a better grasp on the material. Also, amazing and attentive teacher - I turned in my final paper to the wrong email; he shot me an email asking about it. Thank goodness.

A pretty laid-back but engaging professor. Reading the material before class helps, but his lectures are good enough that if you pay close attention, you can just skim the readings. Gives good lectures that effectively break the material down, and encourages discussion and questions. As an added bonus, he has a great sense of humor.

Amazing teacher! Very laid back, attempts to interest you in the subject. Open to anyone's opinion as long as that person can support it. I hardly ever did the readings and I never got anything lower than an A on any assignment for any of his classes. When I can take him I do and I suggest you do too!

the stuff he makes you read is so hard. i think it took me an average of one hour to read every week. it was mostly just 10-20 pages (big print small book) so it wasnt that must. the writers are difficult to understand. but he makes it fun he talks about the reading in class and you really do learn the stuff. 2test 1 take-home test & a paper =EZ!

Cannot say enough about how awesome Dr. Bell is. Extremely intelligent, laid back, clear. He actively tries to get you interested, very approachable. Flexible paper options. Gives you study guide for tests. And he's a laugh :) He teaches a couple of sections of political science in addition to philosophy. Take him any time you can. He's excellent.
