Comment:

A very arrogant person and only help you if asked. Do not take him at all. He is not a fair grader and will not grade you based on your performance during the year but will look at what you do towards the end. The last project determines your grade in class. He is the worst teacher. Don't take him.

Iv'e had a few classes with Mr. Birt. He does expect a lot from his students, but I have found it's because it's how it is in the real world. If you stay engaged and do your work, you'll do fine. If you are looking for an easy A, don't plan on taking him. He will make you work for the grade you want.

Prof Birt can be very condescending, but he's supposedly just kidding around?? If you have thick skin, you'll survive. He has some good experience and is definitely qualified, but he's a tad arrogant. He expects a lot from his students and lectures about common sense things. Kind of a pointless class.

I think Birt is a great professor. Yes he's a tough grader and he makes you work for your grade but you know your grade accurately shows how well you mastered the material . More importantly, he tries to prepare students for the future by pushing us to think about where we want to transfer to and where we want to work. Definitely recommend him!

He's not an easy professor by any means, but his design class was more hands on with projects, and solidworks which helped make the work go by quicker. He is a perfectionist, and your grades will reflect if you are too. He will help you if you talk with him, but he's pretty blunt so just make sure you have a thick skin when you go to talk with him.

I have taken multiple classes with Birt and he surely is one to avoid. He means well but he's a perfectionist, so be ready for to work your butt off especially around finals. I would not recommend anyone take his classes unless failure is your virtue.

He has some real world experience but you would never know it. He is very unprofessional, hypocritical, and extremely poor at communicating. He does not provide timely feedback on grades; his grading is very subjective and confusing. MET is a good program if you can get through his classes without ruining your GPA.

I had this guy in the spring of 06..He is unbelievably bad. ARROGANT, Condasending, In love with himself, and it is hard to believe he is still teaching there. Tired of his religious crap too. Needs to find another profession

Jeff knows his stuff and is extremely picky. He will try to be your friend with his **** little soccer outings, but he will bite you in the ass at the end of the semester with your grade. U will get a letter grade below what u think u will get. Annoying!!
