Comment:

Mr. Cooke's class is fascinating. There is weekly homework, 3 tests, and a final exam.If you have a question just e-mail him, he will answer you quickly, and is extremely helpful.You will learn a lot. Mr. Cooke uses the text, and his lectures are always interesting. He is a great teacher, and really cares about his students.

The greatest teacher =)!! Super understandable, fare, flexiable, sweet humor...Aww!! I just love this guy X-D ! This subject would've been so boring n hard but Jeff makes it so interestin n easy! It was a pleasure to take an Astronomy class with this professor, he loves teaching about the skies, he uses everything possible to make this class easy and understandable even for people like me that was just returning to school after 15 yers of not attending school. He is defenitely eye candy, if you have to study, that's the way to do it ;)

Very interesting class. Uses slides and pictures in lecture. HW is deep and somewhat difficult. He does not want you to write answers word for word out of the book and will check to make sure you didn't cut and paste from the internet. Tests are moderate difficulty, but do bare minimum and will pass. He's the Indiana Jones of his field. Very cool.

He is a brilliant teacher; the only thing I could not stand is his appearance...Extremely hot, and that makes it hard to concentrate on the subject during lectures.It's a perfect class for GE, you'll get some knowledge. Well, at least you will never fall asleep looking at this handsome man and listening to his pleasant speech.

What a shame to have to include his looks in the comments but I have to agree; I did everything I could to control myself but I couldn't help drooling! It did however, make it easy to get an A in his class - you just wanted to be there every Saturday! I know more about astronomy now than I wanted to (this was gen-ed for me) but thank you thank you!

don't take it on a saturday, it's 3 hours. anyways, i really enjoyed the class. mr. cooke is gorgeous. astronomy itself is interesting so there wasn't really anything bad about it. mr. cooke is very helpful and he makes astronomy fun. the hwks and the tests are pretty easy. ex. of a ques. on test:which planet has 9 moons orbiting around it?SIMPLE

I do Accounting work for a living. I'm good at what I do. I have a solid future in what I do. And then I took this class... and I told the Controller at work, "Sir, I think I'm going to study Physical Sciences, with an emphasis on Astronomy. I hate Accounting." All that, thanks to this class. Jeff is a phenomenal instructor. Take this class!

If you need to take an astr. class take him. He has hmwk- worth 1/3 of the grade, tests- 3 and 1 final. You can drop one hmwk and test... He likes this material and can teach it to you and get you to understand astr. even if your not into it. Get the book- it helps and it is where the hmwk comes from. He is understanding, so make the effort.

Not only is he helpful and genuine, but extremely understanding. The course material is tough so make sure you do your homework and take good notes. He cares about his students. I loved it, it was much better than Cats, I'm going to take it again and again! He's easy on the eyes too!
