Dr. Hopper craves praise. He reminds me a bit of the late COL Gaddafi, in the sense that he is a bit insane and he appreciates images of and tributes to himself. Also, he's a trifle creepy, especially with those of his students who are not natural suck ups. Considers himself consistently to be the smartest man in the room, which he never is.

While Hopper is a knowledgeable man, he has no interest in discussion or being challenged. It's obvious he believes himself to be the smartest man in the room in any situation, and he was only kind to people who agreed. The first time I challenged him was the last time he was nice to me.

Didn't get much outta this class at all. I was very turned off by his teaching style. A lot of what he said seemed like he was daring someone to challenge him, which, I can say from experience, I don't recommend doing. Nor do I recommend taking his class. If you do end up stuck in there, just smile and nod...at least that's your safest bet.

Easy but excellent. Hopper really cares more about stimulating your intellect than forcing you to memorize junk and then forgetting it after the test. I still remember almost everything we talked about, and I love the assignments he had us do with each discipline. One of the best classes with one of the best profs I have ever had.
