Also took LF 556 and 492 with him. This man is incredible. His classes have inspired me and I cannot imagine having gone through BU without him. His understanding of film and Camus absolutely blew my mind. If you have the opportunity to take a class of his you must do it! You will learn a tremendous amount.

i took his french film course. what a funny guy! his lectures are truly fascinating, and he's so passionate about the french language. he really knows and understands every student's language abilities, and doesn't flinch when students make mistakes (even if i do sometimes! haha) i would highly recommend this course, and i'm taking his class again

Great teacher, super helpful on essays if you go to office hours. Loves to see enthusiasm and effort. He is my advisor and favorite professor at BU. He is very understanding and such a sweet heart. He is also fun to listen to, he like to go on crazy rants in foreign accents.

One of my favorite profs at BU definitely. Theres no way you'll ever fall asleep with him "performing" and keeping you engaged completely. Some of the stuff we read was really hard to understand and he didn't explain it 100% but the class was still well worth it. Can't wait to take another one of his classes.

One of the most HYPOCRITAL persons of the department. Be on his side (=praise him) and your are fine. Desagree with him and he will hate you. He knows his staff but I have been able to ask him a few questions and he could not really answer (this is probably why he could not stand me anymore). DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

One of the best professors in the BU French department. Enthusiastic, energetic and fun, he invokes students' interest in everything he teaches, his classes are always engaging. He is also a great advisor and will have many ideas and advices to offer once you stop by his office.

Far and away the best professor I've had at BU. Kline is funny, engaging, and makes you think about film in new ways. No assignments or tests besides a paper. Be warned though: you have to watch the movies on your own time. Nevertheless, take this class if you have any interest in good cinema.

Prof. Kline is the best professor I've ever had at BU.Any student will be lucky to have him as a prof. I knew nothing about film and my papers were B- quality, but I walked away with an A-in the class just for my efforts and involvement in the course, which wasn't difficult b/c he's amazing.

Very funny and a little racy at times which makes for a much more interesting time. class flies by. makes the subject exciting. interrupts a little too often with his own opinion. makes you feel comfortable speaking in french even if you dont feel that you are any good.
