Dr. Schramm is one of the best professors I've had at S&T! His classes are interesting and he wants everyone to do well. If you go to class and take notes, you will be fine for the tests. Give multiple sources for your papers and you'll do fine. Participate a little and you'll be golden.

This class was really great...If you go to class and pay attention you should have an A. Do a ton of research on your papers, site diverse sources and it does not matter how bad you paper is you will get a good grade. Tests are long but make outlines, they help.

Great class and professor - the tests are kind of stressful and take a lot of preparation, but you actually learn something. Coming to class is essentially mandatory if you want to catch something not in the book (he did that a lot, sometimes without ever mentioning it). Seriously takes your input on beginning and end of term teacher's critiques.

Lectures are fun and entertaining. Once we got rid of multi-choice test were a lot easier to study for even if they were short answer and essay. Gives the essay and possible short answer questions ahead of time so no excuse not to study. Makes a point to know each person individually by name.

Great professor, he is new so is a little overkill sometimes yet does everything possible to get through to almost everyone in class. Test aren't bad if you come to class, he grades on the big picture, not concerned that you know every little detail or date.

He's a nice guy and the class was really interesting, but i think he may unfairly bias the grades in favor of girls. The exams are all essays and blue book tests.
