Great professor, but his papers should be more simpler rather than APA/research based. He should make his tests/quizzes easier by giving us a study guide & making them more straight forward rather than just websites and paying attention in class. I also feel like that his classes should be more "hands on" rather than papers/tests: Bicycling 125

Jeff Smith is a great professor. He is very passionate about his work and very knowledgeable about the topics covered in class due to his hands-on experience. The class is very participation heavy so missing class will result in doing poorly. Overall he is a laid back and funny guy and is willing to help students if they seek him out.

Great prof!! If you lke the outdoorsat all you will love his classes. Bad ass prof, ice climbs, kayak in diff countries. very clear and helpfull. Dont fall behind on the note book. Show up to class keep up on the notebook and read your notes from the notebook before tests and you'll do great

Fantastic! The best class ever. This class is fun and exciting. I came away with better communication skills and different ways of looking at things. Fantastic Prof. He makes you feel the same passion and love he has for the outdoors. It is an awesome class to get to learn how to trust each other and learn so much about the outdoors.
