I am all alone studying for calculus and I find out that the best math professor that made me feel that I can conquer anything when it came to math has died. While everyone grieved for him already, I am barely doing it now. Alone. Just want everyone to know that he was a great man when it came to his students and I wanted to be like him, GREAT..

I took Mr. Humphries for three semesters. I never enjoyed math before but he made it intresting. I wish I told him how much I apprechiated him. He has made a deep impact to my life and I will never forget him. A final lesson. Tell those in your life how much they mean to you while you have the chance. God rest your soul Mr. Humphries. I never knew Mr. Humphries well, but I did have a few conversations with him. He was one of the nicest men that I have ever met. I am still in shock that he is gone, and his family is in my daily thoughts and prayers. Mr. Humphries will be greatly missed. I am a math education major, and I wish I had gotten the opportunity to learn from him. :-(

i never met this professor.it still makes me feel sad inside because this man was a professor at my school. its like losin sum1 from skool that u have never heard of or spoken, or made any contact with. a school to me feels like home & everyone there is family. I knew Jefferson for more than 20 years as a friend and coworker. In my encounters with him I learned he wanted nothing other than to help people in any way he could. This was the third class I have taken with this Professor. He's a clear communicator. Gives suggested homework problems, if you do them you should not have a problem getting through any class he teaches. His tests are right from what was taught. No surprises.

OK, so he's a bit of an arrogant pompass as* but he does know his stuff. His test are very easy. You do need to be an independant learner and be willing to speak-up when you have a question. If you don't he'll just go on and on about "the wife" and his kids and how he hates the cat because it pisses of the rug and so on and so on.

Very nice. laid back professor. If you are able to read the chapter sections, grasp the concept and do homework on your own, then you are good to go. If you need someone to explain step by step, do not take this class. He doesnt care if you miss class or are late, he just wants you to take tests. Tests are easy-from homework(if you understand.)
