Comment:
This professor is so arrogant and dismissive. He is not interested in students being successful. He just talks about himself and meanwhile we are left to learn the material on our own. Geneseo dean needs to start weeding out these professors who are only there to talk about themselves and not positive and actually teach so students learn.

Strategic with Gutenberg was a good class discussion driven. Assigns cases to read before every class and there is a quiz on each case. He assigned 2 group projects but if you follow exactly what he tells you they're easy. He is a bit arrogant but overall a good professor.

Lectures can be dry but you only can miss a certain amount before he deducts from your grade. If you listen to lectures and study the power-points you'll do well on the tests. The group projects are easy.

The professor has a limit to number of times you can be absent. You do need to pay attention in class to what he says because he will be testing you on this information. You can easily lose points if you don't pay attention to what he says in class. Overall, he's a nice man who knows what he teaches.

BORED.... His class is the most boring class you can have in geneseo. He has really dry sense of humor, and it is really not funny at all (but he thinks he is funny) ew. He is mean too (but pretend to be nice)

Good teacher. Easy to understand and very knowledgeable about marketing. Tests are easy as long as you study the powerpoints and read the chapters.

Good teacher. His explanations were clear and easy to understand. The tests were difficult but manageable and lowest one is dropped. I learned a lot and found the class interesting but he does speak in a monotone. Also, don't skip too many classes because some of the tests questions come from the lecture.

Class is really hard if you don't attend every class and take REALLY good notes. Tests are 80% which makes you or breaks you. Although he has a good dry sense of humor, his monotone voice voice make this one of the top classes at Geneseo to fall asleep in.

Loved his class. He is very straightforward and clear, and his tests and grading are completely fair. He keeps class really interesting by applying a lot of concepts to real world stories and examples, and he has a great dry sense of humor. You get to drop a test and there's no cumulative final. Definitely go to all the classes and take good notes.

I was a Geneseo student for 3 of his Senior Level Marketing classes almost 30 years ago. He was a great teacher. I have become a millionaire in 3 different businesses and I have used information learned in his classes repeatedly. Listen, learn and apply. Don't waste the opportunity.

pathetic excuse of a man. clearly upset that all his years as a "marketing professional" have left him working in a 3rd rate metropolis (rochester) and for a state school in the middle of nowhere. Spend some time in a real business city and then have the hubris that you do.

This class was pretty straightforward. I would recommend not buying the book as it is barley even used. Just take good notes and look over his powerpoint slides. Taking good notes is important because a lot of the questions he asked are from what he says in class. Highest 3 out of 4 exams are counted, along with a project that is not too bad.

This professor is very hard, and not helpful at all even though you come to his office hour. He didn't provide any notes in the class, no powerpoint and everything base on what he talked in class and the viedo.

Lots of videos from the 80s...he's a sarcastic man which keeps his comments interest. However, seeing him on a one-on-one basis is kind of intimidating (he was standoffish to my group when we asked him a question on our marketing paper and basically challenged us to tell him he didn't go over something in class)

This class isn't all that bad. He's a pretty cool guy, easy to listen to and take notes from, and does a good job explaining things. You need to read the text and go to every lecture in order to do well on exams since he tends to ask questions solely based on what he says in lecture that is not included in the text. Tests are ~30 MC and an essay.

390- This class was the biggest waste of time. We only did the cases out of the book, so don;t buy the book, it is cheeper to just copy them off of someone else. He quizzes you on every case (one a week)on the most radom stuff, like what was the company's revenue in 2001. He puts down accounting majors. At least the class has no final or tests!

Not bad for a USC alum/fan. Real world info, must go to class for 30% of exam questions, for the rest, read the revs at the end of each chapter, print them and study the info. Good grading system (4 exams 30% each, +10% final, drop 1 exam). Know the material by reading it. Kinda seems a bit arrogant but his dry jokes are great if you get them.
