If you ever thought about doing anything with MIS this teacher sucks the life right out of you. He gives Homework ever class, a presentation that lasts from the 3rd day of school all the way to the very end. Our last 2 exams lasted an extra hour and a half because he thought it was to easy. Lecture slides are 90 Slides +. DO NOT RECOMMEND. RUN!!!!!

Just because he has Dr. as a prefix, does NOT mean he is a good professor. He needs to revisit the criteria for what an educator should be. He needs to relax and focus on the students and their learning. If the majority of the class is struggling, STOP the madness.

Here's why: - harsh personality - doesn't post or calculate grades - doesn't test on classroom content - doesn't make sense most of the time - too much work and not enough focus - he is not an educator and shame on FDU for not taking a closer look at who they are allowing to educate

Cool guy. The class itself is extremely boring. Hsu is cool to talk to and will joke around with the class. Gives open book, open note tests. A lot of homework but doesn't grade strict. Curves tests if necessary. Funny and very sweet guy. Any effort in this class at all will give you a passing grade.

He is at times very boring and the material is often not interesting. His computer humor is awful and keeps you to the last second of class. He gives alot of hw but youll realize it does not have to be done well. He gives 2 big tests but always gives extra help sessions that are very helpful. He tries his absolute best to help his students.

He should stick to teaching undergraduate courses. Treated us like a bunch of freshmen and did not recognize that we are all business professionals. At times he didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Case studies are a waste of time as are tech presentations. We ended up teaching the course ourselves. A glorified tech course w/ no real use

Dr. Hsu is a very good professor and he knew how to keep me awake during a night class. I would recommend him. He demonstrates the Excel steps very often and allows plenty of practice so that everyone can understand them...while also throwing in jokes during his lessons. Also he offers a lot of extra help and greatly curves his exams(70-100 = A!).

sooo boring! his "computer humor" just took up time (which he liked to stretch to the very last second of class). however he was very helpful in extra help sessions outside of class and he extended both projects at least a week.

Dr. Hsu is not a teacher but an instructor. The difference between the two is that a teacher teaches you and an instructor tells you what to do. Dr. Hsu tells you what to do without considering if the student has prior knowledge or not. Didn't enjoy class. Will be taking it againg with another teacher. Excellent ! At first i was skeptical, but he did a really good job covering everything you need to know ! I work for an accounting firm and my boss has been coming to me with excel questions- that was how i knew- wow i learned a lot ! Yes he does make jokes, but he knows hes lame and thats why he is funny. It makes is entertaining anyways.

Don't take this guy. Really. He tries to make jokes about all the work he gives, but he's the only one laughing. Three presentations, two papers, cases, and long 100 question exams. And on top of that, he's a stickler on grading.

Hsu tries to be fun, but the joke ends the second you walk in the door. He lectures past the end of the class period, overwhelms you with tons of useless computer data, and tests you on every single item that comes out of his mouth. He's tough, not funny and although he tries to reach out to his students, he's only interested in keeping his job.

I’ve had more fun at funerals. If you enjoy 100+ PowerPoint slides per week, never ending lectures, meaningless MIS details, this is the class to take. If you prefer to walk away having learned something, take someone else.
