Worst professor ever! Constantly makes students feel stupid, always is yelling at us, and even told us once we were the worst class ever at UCF. Doesnt teach at all, expects you to spend 25-30 hrs on your own time reading and doing hw. Class time is worthless and so is he. DO NOT TAKE SAUL!!

Why is this guy still teaching? None of us, an entire 75 person class, feel prepared to go into 2049. Puts down students, tells us we are the worst class he's had, and never lectures. Actually says in the syllabus: "Book takes place of lecture"...to sum it up : You'll be teaching yourself.

Scale Up. If you have a lot of time and effort available to put into this class, then you will learn a LOT! The class work, online homework, and reading assignments are all on 3 different topics! I must say, though, he is very helpful during office hours. I don't have time for this class.

Physics is just a thing U do on the side to experimnt w/ GOAL-his chintzy system.If U get right answer by any method that is not EXACTLY his own,U R wrong.Anal&angry.Only learn from 20+ hrs of HW. I was a transfer student and already took physics 1-3 however ucf decided i should take them again. Dr Saul will teach you nothing. I already knew how to do everything, but did poorly on his tests b/c he wants you to do it his way (once i got a 60% on a test despite having no incorrect answers...)

Note: I am a very smart person who is very good at physics. Grade expected: A. With well over 100 homework assignments (average 1-2 hours each), this is the worst class I've ever been in. Do not take Dr. Saul if your life depends on it. This class couldn't have been worse. He wants you to fail.

Doenst teach, just expects you to learn from classmates' mistakes (and your own). Rarely gives the correct solution so it is impossible to know what he expects then he takes off TONS of credit on the exams. Lots of difficult homework that is unrelated to class examples. Scale-up:GOOD! Saul: NOT

Horrible!He won't teach, expects you to teach yourself.Gives out too much hw that is extremly difficult.Doesn't give enough time to finish a test yet expects it to be perfect and grades extemly harshly.Scale-up isn't bad, just don't take it with him. My advice get a teacher that can actually teach.

what we do in class hardly helps with the home work. if he is explaining a problem he makes it more complicated than it needs to be. you have to teach yourself. unless you are good in physics you WILL have a hard time. the Ta's aren't much help either.

Class is a complete waste of time. Makes you buy 5 different materials for the class. If you don't already know physics and calc well, or don't like 3 hours of homework a night, don't take it. There's probably going to be less than a 50% pass rate.

Going to class is a waste of time but it's part of your grade. His scale-up approach is a complete waste of time--it is VERY unorganized and he spends 30 mins on a problem that everyone understands. Also, there is no clear list of when stuff is due.
