Dr. Watt is an amazing professor! He tends to give quizzes on the non-exam days, but they're straight from homework and lecture. He knows a lot about physics and engineering and gives lots of real-world examples to help with understanding. His tests have extra credit and most everyone in his class does well on the final.

Presents the subject matter very clearly. Grades fairly. The class is work heavy but there is plenty of opportunity to fill your grade out with homework and project points. Prepares you for the final very well.

I love Dr. Watt! I thought he made his classes difficult enough for students to learn yet easy enough for students to pass by giving lots of points for homework/quizzes/and by giving lots of tests. Tests get curved and he even gave some quiz points for attendance some days! His student do way better on the final than any other prof!

Dr. Watt is by far one of the best professors I have ever had in my college career. You will actually come out of his class KNOWING the material and understanding it. But, if you are someone who is lazy and does not want to work, do not take this class. You must practice calculus everyday if you want to get an A+. You really need to learn it.

Lots of homework. Exams tend to be difficult, but they're curved to a 75%-80% average. Will randomly give pop quizzes from homework during lecture. Probably the hardest professor teaching this class, but it shows on the departmental final exam. His class always beats the average by 10%.

This guy is amazing. The workload in this class is much larger, its the only one that comes w/ a recitation but man oh man is he worth it. He makes some of the tougher ideas seem perfectly manageable. I'm taking him again for 166.

I took watt for 165,166, and 261. Very good teacher. He will give you the grade on how you preform in class and on tests. Beware of pop quizzes on any class day, so make sure you keep up with the homework. Recitation helped me to better understand the material because I could ask questions one on one instead of in front of the entire class.

He is what a math professor should be. Takes the time to explain every step of whatever he is lecturing on. Please take him if you have the chance, it will change the way you look at calculus. Give this man a boatload of awards already!!

Dr. Watt is probably either top or second best teacher I have ever had in 2 degrees and working on a masters. Because of him, I went from being an average or bad math student to nearly mastering Calc 1, Calc 2, and soon Calc 3 in his summer class. His classes always beat the averages from all the other sections because he really is a good teacher.

Dr. Watt was a great professor for Calc I. He did a great job making the concepts easy to understand. If you skip lectures, the textbook doesn't do nearly as good a job explaining the lessons.

Grades easier than most. Recitation leaders can be difficult graders, but he isn't. If you receive a B or higher on the final he will make that your grade in the class.

Took Watt for Calc 1 and 2 and I'm going to miss him. He's a great teacher. Even though his class is the only one with a recitation take him anyway - it's worth it. He's clear, helpful, and gives extra credit.

Pop quizzes that aren't too difficult, usually corrected with insane leniency so you'll end up with a decent mark. Tests 1 through 5 are not too easy, but the grading is pretty lenient. The final is made by another professor so is usually easier. Only con about his lecture is that the practice tests are A LOT easier than the real tests...

Professor Watt is a fantastic teacher. He's been teaching for a long time so he understands where students will struggle and works to help them. Is a very fair grader and gives lots of partial credit and extra credit. I would definitely recommend him.

He is a great teacher that very clearly explained the material we were learning. He always made it very clear what would be on tests and even provided practice tests for each chapter. His class is by no means an easy A, but if you work for it you can do well.

GREAT prof! Dr. Watt is literally the epitome of college mathematics! His lectures are short and easy to follow, he uses great examples in class that apply to the homework, and his tests are over the exact material he said they would be. I took the M / W / F lecture and loved it. He does do pop quizzes but gives almost full credit. Final is cake
