Dr. Canfield had such great reviews that I readily registered for a class with her. However, I wouldn't do so again if I could help it. Though her lecture is interesting, her exams are very difficult. They take forever! She is very disorganized and not generally clear about what she expects. She can be rude and unapproachable.

She is absolutely AWESOME and I really look up to her! She is quite a character, and straight to the point, but genuinely cares and will make time for you out of her very busy schedule. As a professor and a person, I have so much respect for her and really enjoy being around and talking to her.

She's no-nonsense in class and may come across as curt, but she just wants to tell you everything you need to know without entertaining stupid questions. Go to class, read the book, and you'll do fine. Outside of class, she's really funny.

Very outgoing and fun to hang out with while not in class but is very serious about her work and knows her ****. I highly recommend taking a class with her, she's the best!
