Comment:

Kosak isn't for people who don't like myth already.She is an erratic lecturer because she knows so much she can't leave things out, all of which are VERY interesting if you can appreciate them. She's helpful beyond belief; she pointed me to excellent usable sources for another class. Don't be fooled. A tough grader- she expects you to know material

Comment:

Though class time is not regularly captivating, her love of the language is contagious. Often, her quirky sense of humor or random pieces of Greek or literary history will liven things. Extremely intelligent and always willing to help step you through the material. An incredibly reasonable grader and about the most pleasant woman I have ever met.

She is the opposite of what most students expect from a Bowdoin prof. She honestly seems to get annoyed when you bring questions to her and is not very helpful. I love really do love every prof I have had at bowdoin, expect her. I honestly believe she does not belong here.

Nice, very knowledgeable, and passionate, but SO BORING. Lectures are all over the place, usually very disconnected with the paper topics, and she sometimes just starts translating the text from Greek to English for the rest of the class, which is useless and boring. She does not structure the class well or know how to keep people interested.

Prof. Kosak is probably the nicest and most kindhearted professor I've had at Bowdoin. She has high expectations but is always warm and approachable. She will bend over backwards six times to help you understand the material. I've only had her for intro Greek though, apparently she's not as good in lecture classes.

Oh man, I have to dispell the myths on this board. Kosak is TERRIBLE! Soooo boring! Class makes me want to stab my eyes out every day. One class, I was actually staring at the flourescent lights, thinking how interesting they were. So boring and pointless!

lectures are EXTREMELY boring. I knew everything on the exam and still only got a B because she takes off points if you don't say exactly what she wants you to say. very tough paper grader. very nice lady though, i just wish i could stay awake through one of her lectures.
