Jerry is a great teacher. I took his summer class and he basically tailored it around us. He was always available to help with anything, looked over work we did in class to ensure we got full points, and explained/re-explained stuff to make sure we understood. If you put in the effort, you should have no problem passing his class.

Jerry is one of my favorite professors ever. I have never met a more genuine person. He loves physics, he loves teaching, and he loves helping his students succeed. He will work with you for hours to help you understand the material, but that does not mean that he will give you an A just because you want it. A teaching gem.

He is HILARIOUS!! Never a dull moment in the class, seriously. He really helps out his students by giving examples and practice exams for them. You can tell he spends a lot of time looking over the homework and tests and always tries to make things challenging but at the same time manageable.

I was terrified of physics before taking it but Jerry Artz made it fun! He bent over backwards to help me understand things and worked with me when I was out sick. He's the best professor I've ever said, and that's saying something since I was a Religion major!
