Dr. Chandler is by far the best professor I ever had! Not only you can learn about the subject he is teaching but also about the life in general. If you pay attention you can learn a lot. The guy just wants you to come on time and listen! All the best to him!

Mr. Chandler is a cute old man who is way out of his depth in modern communication. But he gives MUCH better lectures than his predecessor and if you show up, take notes & actually study for your exams you can't fail. We occasionally write one page essays on movies we watch in class & we have a term paper. But other than that - Just Show Up!

People say that his tests are tough, and they can be. You will have a review day the class before the test. He tells you exactly what to study and to know everything about that subject, and he means EVERYTHING. As long as you make the review day and study what he says, you will do fine. Great man and will help.

Mr. Chandler is a very good teacher, tough, but good. His tests are a bit hard, and you watch a lot of dull movies, but he will tell it to your straight when it comes to getting experience in the field of Communication.

Had this class early in the morning, but it was worth it because it was the most interesting class I had. Tests are hard, but if you come to class and pay attention, it should not be too difficult. Mr. Chandler is passionate about journalism and communiations. However, he shows a lot of boring movies.

Chandler's class is definitely not easy. His tests are difficult but he gives you a general area of everything to study for the tests, which is very helpful. He is very passionate and will teach you a lot about your career. Try to attend as much class as possible, and try not to be more than 5 minutes late if you're easily embarassed!

Mr. Chandler is by far the most inspiring teacher I've had in college. He's tough, but I learned so much from him. His passion for the field is unmatchable. He doesn't just teach his classes, he's lived them...professors like him are who I want to learn from.

He's awesome. Chandler is difficult in that he's very in depth in his lectures and notes, but it's very interesting. I recommend audio recording the lectures. Only drawback is that he teaches this class at 8:45am MWF. Crazy early.

Brillant professor...his tests are mc and a lot of questions are from his book and not lecture, but he gives a detailed review the day before the test. He really knows the material and keeps the class very interesting, but he does make you watch and write papers on a bunch of boring, antiquated VHS movies from the 1990s lol.

Jacksonville State needs to give this man a PhD for what he does. Not only does he have the book knowledge to pass on to his students but also the work experience to back it up. He will tell you that he has been fired from jobs to make sure you DONT get fired. NOTE: Do not take him if you are NOT serious about Communications - he is PASSIONATE

I had Broadcast Writing with him and I loved it! I don't know why there are so many negative comments about him here. He has a passion for what he does and just wants to pass that along. You do need to go to class and be prepared for lots of lame videos from the 90's, but overall I enjoyed his class and will probably take more from him.

This man is a living legend. Granted, he is extremely difficult in intro courses such as COM 200, but those with real talent for this field and who put real effort into it will look at Chandler as a mentor and a true friend in the industry. I have learned more from Chandler than all of my other professors combined. Great man.

Dr. Chandler is so rude! I am an English Language Arts - Secondary Education major, and I had to take this class. He talks about himself a lot! You need to go to class, but don't try to take notes on what he is talking about, just wait until the class before an exam and he will give you the questions to the test.

Mr. Chandler is a great teacher. I love his classes and he is such an inspiration to us all. Through his illness, he was always there because we (his students) mean that much to him. I'll never forget this wonderful man.
