Dr. Byrne is just awesome. He is incredibly helpful if you have any questions. One time I went in for help and he had to take a phone call, but afterward he actually apologized to me for having to take that phone call. It just goes to show how much he cares about his students. If you have the chance to take his class I would highly recommend him.

Comment:

Took him for Calc I and IV, and wished I could have taken him for II and III as well. The class isn't easy, nor should it be, but he lays things out very clearly and does a fantastic job of making sure everyone understands a concept before moving on.

Dr. Byrne is awesome! He does his absolute best to explain everything. Most importantly, make sure you do all the homework and practice, practice, practice. An additional advice, read the textbook on a problem similar to your homework if you're stuck, the answer might just be there.

One thing about this teacher is he's so smart. I've never seen any prof. who can teach lots of different math classes like him before. Im amazed! Take him if you really want to master the materials well since most of the time he can answer your questions.

A very helpful professor. He is willing to help you when you do not understand something. Do the suggested problems even though they are required. They prove to be very helpful. There are only 3 exams and then the final. So make sure you are prepared. No graphing calculators are allowed on exams.

Provides suggested homework problems at the end of each lecture. Do them before the next class & you will be prepared for the quiz. Many short quizzes, drops lowest grades. Byrne is an excellent instructor. Want an A? Go to every class, so the short homework, & study before the big tests... that is all it takes.

Extremely excellent professor and extremely knowledgeable. He is the head of the math department which is a huge plus. He keeps a good sense of humor. Also is able to explain any problem without hesitation. Rarely uses the book and does not require homework and instead does weekly quizzes. I've recommended him before and with continue to do so.

Dr. Byrne is a wonderful teacher. he is very helpful and easy to follow in class. He answers questions thoroughly and is always available if you have anything more to ask or have any concerns. His class was easy simply because he taught it very well. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher!

You almost don't even have to use the book in there. It does help, but he explains things so well you don't really need it. Allows you to put equations on a notecard for exams and the quizzes are actually beneficial since they serve as a buffer and you can drop a few of them.

I really liked this class. Dr. Byrne can talk a bit fast sometimes, but so long as you understand what's going on on the board, it shouldn't be a problem. He really wants his students to understand what's going on.

I really liked this class. Dr. Byrne can talk a bit fast sometimes, but just ask him to back up and repeat himself... he won't take offense at it and genuinely wants to make sure people understand what's going on. He drops a few quizzes at the end of the semester, so it's okay if you don't do so well on one or two.

He is the sweetest man, but as a professor RUN I suggest that you find any way possible to never take him! I don't understand math and he helped me realize I may never understand it. He wants to work with you but it still does not help, also his tests are awful! Way way off the topic, his most quoted reason is well you should already know it! Um NO

I should have done so much better in his class. He delivers well and is extremely open to questions and offering help. I had to take this class over for my own reasons, but anyone should be able to do well. Some curveballs show up on the tests, but if you get to math like Calc IV, you should already be able to knock those curves out of the park! A+

He's good-As long as u do all ur hw and know the material. His test(100pts,usually 20 Q or less)are similar to his quizes but the quizes are only one problem, 10 points. U get a quiz every wk, but he drops at least 4 quizes at the end of the semester. good professor but i couldn't afford a 76 AUD, require to attend class, no quiz/test.

Dr. Byrne is truly a good and helpful math professor. He explains the material clearly, and if you understand the material and do the homework, you should do really well in his class. He is always willing to help, and does not make anyone feel stupid for asking questions. I would definitely recommend anyone to take him.
