Comment:

Dr. Mazaheri is really passionate about literature, and it shows in every lecture. We read some pretty interesting poems and excerpts in this class. There are several vocabulary quizzes, three tests, a final, and participation. If you have a pretty good grasp of the stories, then it won't be hard to earn an A.

He's very straightforward when it comes to tests and quizzes! Assigns a reasonable amount of daily homework, expects you to participate and come to class, but overall a very reasonably teacher! For me, it was smooth sailing for that A.

If you have the chance to choose another professor, do it. He's very heavy into grammar over vocab, doesn't like when you ask questions, and grades his tests pretty tough. He started out the semester really tough then let up a little when he realized we all weren't doing well on his tests. Attendance is taken every day and you only have 3 unexcused

One of the nicest professors I've had at Auburn. He's such a sweet man and really cares about his students doing well. If he feels you are struggling he will make an effort to help you get to where you need to be. He'll tell you exactly what needs to be studied for the test and they aren't too difficult. Just dont miss class without a proper excuse

Love Mazaheri! He's a really sweet man and if you make an effort to participate in class, he will give you a good grade. I came in speaking French quite well already and how feel more confident speaking on higher-level, intellectual topics. He does make out of the blue references to Christianity sometimes, but that doesn't make him unlikable!

Dr. Mazaheri is great! He's not afraid to crack a joke here and there and he's really receptive to student feedback. This class reminded me a lot of high school. Attendance is mandatory, light amounts of homework, and lots of quizzes and tests to cushion your grade. As long as you work a bit at it, you shouldn't have any problem getting an A.

Great teacher, teaches the more practical side of French. You don't have to do the HW if you took any french at all is high school. Let's the class pick what will be on the test, so there's never any surprises. Emails everyday. Highly recommend him!

awesome class. knowledgeable in the subject and teaches it VERY well. concentrates on the speaking aspect of french. tests are semi-hard. i got a B. he is EXTREMELY helpful if you visit him during his office hours for any questions

Really nice guy. Probably the EASIEST french teacher at Auburn by far. He only teaches what he thinks is important, which is not a whole lot. He hates the book, and he hates giving tests, so of course they are SUPER EASY! Not your traditional teacher for sure, he is very french old fashioned and will lecture us americans on how we do things

Really great guy and has his funny moments. He concentrates mostly on speaking and listening skills which takes up 75% of the class time. He is from France so he tells you what you need to know and what to forget. Come to class everyday and participate and you will make an easy A.

He is such a great teacher. Definetly take him over the summer because he condenses the material and goes over the test material very well. He is a great language teacher bc he wants your accent to be good and also conversations is important to him. Take him, you wont regret it. Very specific.

Dr. Mazaheri is a great teacher and a very genuinely nice man. He reinforces conversation skills and usually checks homework, but I would definitely recommend taking a class from him, because he is very fair and understanding guy and has a wonderful french accent because he actually lived there! :)
