I have warned all my friends at Queens to stay away from taking her classes. It's super easy marks, but if you're looking for a Professor who will help you, you've come to the wrong place. I had to ask other Professors for help bc Jill didn't offer me any..

Through out my three years at Queens University and I have never had a Professor that was so useless. She doesn't acknowledge the students whatsoever. There were so many students asking for help and she would be vague or not even respond ...

I took GNDS 120 and I loved the way the marks were set up. Ten quizzes, two essays and one group project, easy marks! Yes easy marks, but don't expect to get any help from the Jill Smith. On the discussion forum online, she didn't answer students questions properly and most of the time avoided answering students emails.

Took the course online because I thought it would be easy, and it relatively. Jill Smith however is absolutely the worst prof I've ever had, wouldn't answer emails, skip around legitimate questions, and just doesn't care at all about the students or the course. Problems occurred every week with readings, assignments, or grade postings - TERRIBLE!!!

I took a distance course with her. It was AWEFUL!!! She wouldnt answer emails, was hardly available to talk to at all. Never returns assignments quickly. AVOID HER when doing correspondence!!! I got a good mark, but only because I worked extremely hard on this one. But since she was not available to talk to ever, I still have a lot of questions.

Maybe I just had a bad experience with her, but I found her monotonous, disinterested, and not very helpful. She barely taught us anything. It seemed as though she just pulled a topic out of thin air and made the course reflect it. Ah well

An amazing class. Only 2 essays, no final...and she's flexible and so nice! really wants us to learn! felt bad that 80% of the class stopped going b/c there's no final...easy but interesting. she's a great teacher.
