Dr. Jordan is incredible. Anth 101 is lecture heavy, but you switch topics every couple of weeks so you won't get too bored. He's a goofy, caring old man and has a soft spot for Anth majors.

I really enjoyed his lectures. That said, he is way too tough of a grader. It's almost impossible to get an A in his class. He will be rude to you if you are unprepared for class or if you miss his class, even if the university considers it an excused absence.

Dr. Jordan keeps you listening even without tech in his lectures because he knows his field. If he didn't do something himself, he knows someone who did. Do the readings and ask questions; he loves it. He deliberately plays the eccentric in class, but don't be fooled: the man's sharp. And genuinely good-hearted!

I love this man! I hate bones, and anything related, but I walked out of this class in love with anthropology! Dr. Jordan is by far top five best professor that I have ever had at Longwood. He teaches and it is up to you with what you do with the information. NEVER miss class. You will be so lost! If you are a Lancer you have to take his class!

Half the reason I attend Longwood, take his class even just if it is to learn a little bit about the world and not for necessary credits.

His class was the most interesting class I''ve ever taken at Longwood but also one of the hardest. His lectures are amazing and he is a funny and interesting professor. He is serious about attendance though so try not to miss his class- even if you''re sick Tests are hard and he''s a really tough grader but his class is still worth it.

He's a great professor and definitely knows his stuff. His tests are very challenging and they require a lot of studying, but it's worth it. He gets really upset if you miss his class, and will embarrass you in front of the whole class. He means well, and definitely has a passion for anthropology!

Dr. Jordan is AWESOME! His style is a little old fashioned, but he has such a passion for teaching that makes his lectures so enjoyable. His tests are pretty hard, so be sure to actively read. Oh and if you don't do your homework or skip his class..prepare to be called out ;)

One of the most profound professors on campus, and well-known. But, for some reason I diddnt like his class. I came in as an anthro major and im switching. Difficult exams, very old-fashioned teaching( no power-points) vcr movies.Great person, but i hard a hard time keeping up with his class.

Dr.Jordan is the most genuine professor I've had. I'm ecstatic for my next class with him. Memorizing random facts is mandatory to do well on tests. DRAW A MAP=Brownie points! While Jordan is a storytelling man and hilarious, be cautious when you skip his class, he takes it personally. He also battles cancer and seems to be a little sad. Love him!

I graduated in '92 as an English major but picked up Anthropology as a minor because of Dr. Jordan. Engaging, current, witty, Dr. Jordan sold that class and we all bought it. He is one of three professors I remember vividly from college (One in a BAD way). So happy he is still working-loved those digs!

Best professor I ever had. I graduated in 94. He had the names of every student memorized within minutes. He got me so interested, I picked up a minor in Anthropology. The summer dig class was awsome. Back then we played in dirt all day and had fun at night. Coolest and smartest professor I ever had. Peace pipe ceremony was great.

8am is not my cup of tea. Regardless, Dr Jordan held my attention. While he did favor students who showed interest, even the classmates who hated him because "he was too hard" (but showed up!) are passing. He was thoroughly knowledgeable on the subject, and happy help. He did have limited office hours, as he does a TON of things on campus.
