Professor Lawton is a great teacher and an outstanding technician and artist. He can be a little bristly at times, but he's got a great sense of humor to even things out and doesn't take himself too seriously. I recommend him highly.

This man has a heart of gold. Will do anything to help his students. Know his stuff and is excited to share technical information. Trustworthy, hardworking, and kind. Not a pushover though. Holds himself and his students to a high standard. I feel blessed to have him as a teacher.

One of the best professors that I've been priviledged to study under. He's really down to earth and encourages you to go outside the boundaries to see where your creativity takes you. I have a new view on tableware.

Jim was the best professor I had last semester! He tried to convince me to be a ceramics major! He's very clear, and expands your mind and creativity. If you work hard, you'll get a good grade. I got an A+, wasnt too difficult! Def take him!
