If you like profanity, PG-13 (or R, or X...) 'humor', delight in a distorted view of the human person and have an obsession with sex, you have a lot in common with Mr. Norris and you will love his class, that is if you can survive a grueling 12 hrs a week listening to him...Also, he is very, very egotistic. Almost disgustingly so.

My perspective of Mr. Norris was very unfavorable. He swears A LOT--like every other word, makes profane and disgusting sexual references,& seems to need a little psych. help himself. In the first class he talked how he was beaten as a child & went on and on about what a good employee, person, father he is/was. Do yourself a favor, skip him!

Absolutely horrible. All he talks about is his life. I learned absolutely nothing about psychology and he made me never want to learn about it again. Which is sad because i loved psychology before i had him. If anyone is taking him i suggest a switch immediately.

I had Mr. Norris for Psy 180 during a 6 week spring semester in 2008. I heard that Psy was pretty tough so I was a bit worried before attending class. He goes over everything that will be on tests and lets you bring a notecard. He also gives you extra credit which is a huge help. He is one of the better teachers ive ever had.

He's an alright prof. He just rambles about his personal life and stories and thinks it's hilarious. He makes a point to repeat himself a million times until he's satisfied and he moves extremely fast. The good thing is that he tells you exactly what will be on the test/quiz so you're not blind-sided. But, I wouldn't have him again if I got pick.

Great teacher but talks way too much about his personal life. I think 90% of is B.S. myself. You will take notes until your arm feels like it is about to catch on fire, or fall off! Only about 10% you will use. And know his definitions, not the books! All tests, quizzes, and assignments are VERY easy! This class is a very easy 'A'!!!

This is a very interesting class, but Mr. Norris' language was distracting. The book had a lot of very good information but he choose to use his own notes, typos and all, and makes studying for the test much harder (make sure youknow his definitions!). I hope I won't have to take him again.

Really good guys and an easy teacher. He doenst sensor himself, always tells you about his life, and constantly repeats himself, and he does make you take alot of notes, but only like 10% of everything is on the test. U get a cheat sheet with anything on it u want. Easy tests, hes gonna retire in 3years take hime if you can

This was the longest class ever. The 4 hour lecture never seemed to end and he talks about himself constantly. I do not feel that I learned anything in the class other than what he is an expert in, and that is everything. Save your opinion because its wrong and his is right.

Jim was the best teacher that I've ever had. He actually helped make up my mind as far as my career chioce. He is enthusiastic, knowledgable, and just awesome in general. He allows 3 x 5 cards on his tests too (and 2 for the final). He always had something interesting to say and an amazing perspective on everything.

He is a fun teacher, he makes the class interesting. He does not read out of the book, he shows a lot of movies and overheads that make the chapters interesting and easier. There is not much at all homework in this class and not a lot of quizzes. Take him if you can.
