Had Dr. Wheeler in the late 80's. I was at his home with others several times for help. Correct in that his classroom delivery was lost on many, but he never refused personalized help - even at his home. I had an "advanced" class with him - he should've explained WHY a fourier transform did what it did before diving into pure math.

He's a really nice guy to talk to when you aren't talking about physics, but when he teaches, he pretty much expects you to know what you're talking about. Please AVOID this professor. Take Cullin or Goonewardene if possible! They are both fantastic!

He is not a good communicator, but he teaches a subject that is difficult to communicate. Zooms through a lot of complex math without explanation. Your final grade is impossible to predict because of the insane curve. He collected homework that he never assigned or mentioned. No-one turned it in, but it was 10% of the final grade.

It's not an impossible class but it's not a walk in the park. Dr. Wheeler is very challenging and his tests are extremely difficult; however, you can save yourself with lab which accounts for 40% of your grade. He's not a terrible guy, and his curve is awesome. You can fail every exam and still get a B in the class.

He is a complete genius with physics and is probably one of Lock Haven's more intelligent professors, but he can't teach! You will not understand his lectures, you'll do the homework and study the book and still not be able to answer the questions on the tests. He can't bring what he knows down to the student level.

ok... who ever said he was hot -- ?! Classes are hard as hell. this coming from a total brown noser. work your butt off and you still don't understand it, but he sees you're putting in the effort and the grade reflects it. Great guy outside of class, inside, it's just plain confusing.

Isn't there more to physics then just doing algebra and deriving equations? Seems as if he often comes unprepared and wastes time trying to figure out mistakes. Often have to stay over 1-3 minutes almost every class!
