Jiminez is pretty hilarious but hes way to smart for his own good. If you don't already have calc crrrrystal clear then you'll probably have a bad time. He expects you to already know or learn most of the material in one lesson. Hes a really nice guy though and honestly doesn't understand why people don't get the material and it frustrates him.

He teaches well enough that you barely use the book. Class is still ridiculously hard. He speaks with a funny accent but his tests and quizzes are far to difficult to be fair. Everybody does bad on them, and he almost always has to give a retake or throw the quizzes out. The ones that he keeps are still pretty bad. Try to get another math teacher.

I took every single class with jiminez, except for 140. He is hard as hell, but one great teacher. He is truly my most favorite teacher. I am glad I had him for four different classes.

The fanboys of this guy have all taken his higher math courses. Perhaps he can teach those well. But in 141, i strongly advise all to take the course at UPark. Jimenez does not reinforce what he teaches. He tries to impress by overwhelming you. He uses a computer program on his overhead that bolsters his pride with the complex graphs he designs.

I think Dr. Jimenez is one of the smartest teachers I have ever had. If you don't understand something, he welcomes you to office hours and is very enthusiastic to see you want to learn. The people that give him bad ratings on here are just lazy asses.

This is supposed to be a lower level course, yet he assumes we already know everything. Half the class is failing and 10 have dropped! He answers questions for the first 40 minutes of class, then crams in the day's lesson in 10 mintes (literally).

I had him as a prof back in '86. He's a good guy, but his accent makes it difficult to figure out instuctions, especially word problems. He continually referred to a "committee" as a "comedy!" Indeed it was!
