One of the kindest, most professional profs I have ever had. She is very approachable, smart, and knowledgeable. I've learned so much from her. The two midterms are challenging but fair. Assignments involve wide spectrum of programming practices.

Went to every lecture, could not get past the way she teaches. I found the class very difficult to stay interested during lectures, because there is no real interactiveness with the class. This made the exams absolutely hell.

I found her class to be somewhat difficult, even though I had some previous coding experience. She goes through very specific examples during the lectures and the questions on the exams are similar but much harder. Exams are long answer, write out the whole program kind of questions. You really need to understand how and why the code works.

I wish I was able to have her for all my Comp Sci courses. She knows her stuff, and explains it well. She genuinely seems interested in the content and how the class fares. Easy to ask questions, and always willing to listen. Way above the bar as far as CS profs go.
