Comment:

One of my favorite professors so far at Kirkwood. Even though this is an online class, participation matters, expect to be thoughtful in your responses, and expect very interesting reading assignments. Recommend for the student who really does want to learn.

I hate bad mouthing professors because everyone has their own style but he is awful. The WORST prof I've ever had. E-mailed 5 times asking for feedback and got nothing. Needs to retire and never teach again. No matter how hard you work you should expect a B- or lower.

Little guidance. Little is listed, he expects the students to basically interact and develop their own skills. Very little feedback on forums, and when he does, basically says, "You are right." No textbook, no feedback on how to improve. Needs to quit his job and do something else.

Comepletely useless. Had us write an MLA paper, took points off for getting it wrong, but refused to explain -how- it was wrong. Seems to enjoy giving out bad grades.

Took as online comp class. He is not good for distance learnign because there was no flexibility at all. Assignments had to be in by 5 the day they were due. Online coourses are geared for flexibility, and he was not at all. Do not take him for anything online if you need flexibility.

I emailed him asking for help he basically told me to go to writing center. Not helpful at all. Oh and it doesn't matter if you are involved in discussion you will NEVER get 100% NO MATTER WHAT. He told me that NO STUDENT EVER HAS IN HIS CLASS. I loved the content, and will never take this instructor again.

NO help- He is a jerk-deliberately confusing-pretentious-This was a reading course and he turned it into a writing course, sometimes writing 4 essays a week. If you arent prepared to be completely full of yourself, like you're Hemmingway or something, steer clear of this class
