I still can't believe she's not here anymore. Professor Miller was an amazing teacher and an even better friend. She's someone that has inspired me in so many areas of life. I only hope to be half as great a teacher as she was. I can't believe that I won't be able to speak with her again. RIP. You are terribly missed.

I love this professor. I know that she's been disorganized this past semester, and she has had issues that she's needing to work out, but give her a break. Her biggest concern is that her students learn. What if every teacher rated you on your organization and timing? Besides, she was on a lot of pain medication from her surgery. So she was high.

I agree with the 2 previous comments. Her behavior was very erratic during the semester I took her. I honestly wonder if she was experiencing some type of personal problems because all the comments I read about her were positive. My experience was not. I got an A but the class was a total joke and a complete nightmare the semester I took it.

This class was a waste my time, a waste of my money, and a waste of Mesa's limited funds. She's terrible. Missed class more than I did. Didn't lecture, just showed movies that were worthless. For our second exam she came into class and gave us an exam from three years ago that didn't even cover what was on the study guide. Be wise & AVOID this prof

Horrible professor online, she doesn't respond and her class is disorganized. I earned enough points for an A but I received a B. It took me two months before I received a response and that only came after I had complained to the Department chair and the Dean. Don't waste your time, take another professor. She sucks!!

took the online class. took the teacher some time to hear back with a question. quizzes are open book (obviously) not a hard A. there are required online chat times which are stupid.

Joan is nice and chatty but she was stressed last semester, and it showed in her class. The material is hard so study and take it seriously, especially her TESTS. She gives small points for attendance by giving quizzes with a digital clicker. Go to class and you'll do fine. Don't expect to show up a few times a do well, cause you won't!

By far one of my favorite teachers at Mesa. Take quick and easy notes, which are directly on the test. Book was actualy interesting, and she made the class awesome! I took her for 103 also, and I would take her again if she taught another class! You really learn from the class and it's pretty easy. I got an A in both classes.

I took the online physical anthropology. The class was a joke and I truly learned nothing. Good luck getting help or hearing back from the teacher if you're having a problem. and no one tells you that the online course costs an extra 15 dollars after you register and has mandatory chat times. Tests and essays are open book, papers aren't too bad.

Mrs. Miller is probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. I had her for both Physical and Cultural Anthropology last year and recieved A's in both classes by doing the assignments, studying for tests(they can be difficult), and coming to class. She is a very compassionate woman with her student's best interests in her heart. THE BEST ANT
