She can be a tough grader. She also seems like she tries to find the smallest, irrelevant, and unimportant thing wrong with your paper or project in order to make sure her reasons are justified for not giving perfect grades. You also have to adhere to every single MLA and American Standard English rule or she may penalize you.

Prof Richmond is great. If you attend class, listen to her open lectures, participate, and do the homework her class is easy. She gives you plenty of time to complete papers and helps you throughout the entire process if you ask, and gives great feedback after she grades.

Although college is supposed to be difficult, Joan makes this class impossible. As if being a full-time student with a job and social life isn't hard enough, Mrs. Richmond demands one assignment be turned in every class day. These assignments can range from pages of mindless information to a pointless response to a chapter. I do not enjoy her class

Took her Intro to Fict. Overall easy class you just have to know how to write a decent paper and do the daily reading assignments and you'll be fine. Class can be extremely boring and she babbles on about her life but the class is not difficult at all and she is really nice. Some of the stories are interesting. I would recommend her.

This course involves lots of reference from the textbook but she is very helpful if you ask. You have to attend class and try to participate and you'll do great! She makes you think and is big on citations.

She gave me a D on my research paper and wrote a whole rant on the back about how my sources were not organized which they CLEARLY were and she even had the nerve to say I had a good research paper just the sources were unorganized. Seem unfair to give me such a low grade? I think so. Ridiculous.

Pretty cool prof. Tried really hard to hold our interest. Very approachable and will give you any help or advice you need if you just ask.I'd take another class with her. Really wants you to think for yourself and understand the concepts she teaches.Balances the work load pretty well. Well worth my time.

I liked this prof. Class was not overly hard. Demands a lot of time to write papers though. She is really helpful though and will look at your paper before you turnit in if you want. She's pretty cool!

Grades tough but she clearly communicates what she wants from you and encourages you to talk to her about questions or to look over a rough draft. Grades consist of 3 papers, a midterm, daily reading response, and final. You get full credit for the responses just as long as you do them! Can get boring at times but it could be a lot worse.

She lost my paper that I turned in early because I was going to be out of town. Unprofessional. Unorganized. Uninteresting. I had her my freshman year & am now a senior -- still can't stand her. She never apologized for losing my paper & even tried to make me think I hadn't turned it in. Then she found it under a stack of papers in her office
