Class wasn't bad at all, Varnum is sweet and interested in building your writing skills, she likes to see your effort, she only grades 5 final essays, participation, and a final portfolio that involves revising of 2 of your essays. Overall I would recommend to take her class.

The best teacher you will ever have... Always willing to help you and she is very clear on what she wants. Gives great advice for your writing. Class was always entertaining and once she let us have class outside. i would love to be in another one of her classes...

shes such a nice lady. always willing to help you out. About 2 1 pg papers a week on easy readings, 5 3-5 pg papers and thats it. all the papers are pretty easy and shes an easy grader.

Definitely the best College Writing professor available. Motivating, clear, encouraging, and very helpful. Classes are fun and not boring at all. You will write a lot (a paper of at least 2 pages per class) but it easy and she'll make you a better writer
