Comment:

Joanna is very eccentric, but the most caring professor I've had at PC. Her test and quiz questions are the exact same as the homework problems. She is an interesting person. As long as you do the homework and practice homework problems before tests and quizzes, you will definitely get an A.

Comment:

Dr. Su is an absolute gem, sweetest woman I've ever met. Grading breakdown is very small so each test/quiz is weighted very heavily. Doesn't collect homework (DO ALL OF THEM OR YOU WILL DO POORLY). She moves very fast with her lectures but breaks them up with hilarious stories. Really makes an effort to connect with each student. TAKE HER CLASS.

The sweetest woman I've had as a teacher at PC. Homework is not passed in or graded but you have to do it in order to do well in the course. Very nice teacher and very helpful with any questions you may have. Also very funny when she tells stories.

Joanna is the nicest person ever. She is so sweet and caring and truly cares about her students. Do the homework and you won't really have to study for tests. She takes test questions straight from the homework or from past quizzes. If you go to her office hours, then you usually get extra credit on tests.

Joanna Su is easily one of the nicest human beings you will ever meet. I look forward to every single one of my 223 classes. She genuinely cares about every single of of her students and is an amazing teacher. She is very clear on exactly what the tests and quizzes will be on.

This was my second course with Joanna at PC. She is a passionate teacher who really cares about each of her students. She is tough sometimes, but nothing you can't handle. Quiz questions come from homework, and Test questions come from quizzes, notes, and homework. Highly recommend.

Best professor I had my first semester at PC. Quizzes and exams come straight from the notes and homework. Joanna will bring cookies to class and tell funny and inspirational stories that will make you both laugh and cry. Take her class if you have the chance.

Joanna is my favorite teacher at PC so far. She really cares about her students and tries to minimize our stress especially for big exams. She'll lighten up the class with funny stories and spends time everyday making sure we understand the homework. I've learned a lot in the class and really want to have her as a professor again.

Joanna is one of my favorite professors in the Math department. She genuinely cares about her students. Her Foundations class wasn't too hard until the end of the semester, more because of the content and not her teaching style. She tries to make the material as clear as possible. Johanna is an amazing teacher and know so much about math. She is hilarious and always wants to keep you interested. She gives a lot of homework and you should do it because it really helps with the tests and quizzes. All her quizzes are examples from notes or from homework and tests are all exact questions from homework. She is a great teacher.

Joanna is the best!! She's my favorite teacher at PC. The class is not easy, though. Homework isn't mandatory but it is if you want to do well on the tests. Joanna is hilarious and constantly keeps class interesting with jokes and stories. Clearly knows a TON about math. Take her if you can and you won't regret it!!

I love Joanna so much. The subject matter is tricky sometimes, but she is always willing to take as much time as you need to explain it to you. Go to her office hours if you need it! She also really understands when students are feeling stressed and is always flexible. I loved her class so much that I'm taking her again next semester!!

Joanna is my favorite professor at PC! She really takes the time to get to know her students and goes at a slow pace. There are quizzes every week but they are copy and paste from the hW questions. Her test questions are also copy and paste from hwin class questions. Go to her office hours for answers to hw ques you don't know! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is my reccomendation for the course. IF you do not have a solid Mathematical background firstly, do not take 131 especially with Joanna because although she is extremely fair she is also extremely hard. She is a good teacher and will challenge you if you are willing to put the effort in. Deff one of the best in the department, but hard.

Comment:

Joanna is a sweet lady. She is so funny and I enjoy having class with her. She is compassionate and I love her stories. She is also very helpful. However, her class is challenging, she does not check HW but you should do it because that is where the exam qs come from and the exams are tough. I reccomend only if you are going to put the work in.
