Great professor, very outgoing and friendly. Definitely lecture heavy, you'll sometimes struggle to pay attention. Everything is online. Labs and Quizzes weekly, 4 Exams. Labs took about an hour, while quizzes and Exams took anywhere from 2-4 hours. Quizzes and Exams usually consist of a repetitive version of the lab as she emphasizes practicing.

This professor lectures for 3 hours without any student interaction, she just talks and talks. It was extremely boring and impossible to pay attention, as she repeats herself over and over. I would not recommend her unless you are into teaching yourself. Just plain boring and unhelpful.

Professor knows & enjoys what she's teaching. Grade is based solely on tests. My only problem with her course is that it was extended a week past what was supposed to be our last class. Besides that fact, I found the course material painfully dull in comparison to "regular" accounting courses.

Joanne takes the time to ensure students are understanding the material. I have taken 3 accounting courses with her and find her to be fair and informs the class of assignments and expectations well in advance. There are no secrets with her exams and she enjoys what she does. Money, Money, Money !!

Took her for ACC. 101&102. She is Awesome!! Will give you all the extra time you need to ensure you fully understand the material. Assigns a ton of homework be prepared for hours at the computer, but allows assignments to carry on over the course. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and devoted to help you succeed. Covers the material very well, Stresses on main points that are important, reviews assignments. Uses examples to make learning understandable. Overall I think she is a great instructor. Only fallback is lack of response to emails, does not allow time for questions during instruction.

I am blown away by reading some of these comments left by others. I have found her to be an outstanding instructor. She uses analogies to get her point across that are crystal clear provided you pay attention.Yes, she assigns a lot of homework but in fairness unless you practice and practice and practice you won't understand the "rules of the road"

She was terrible. She repeats herself a million times in class and usually no one understands her. I was teaching myself the subject matter from the book. She was usually rude to the students who did not like her. She gives a ton of homework but if you do them you will be fine in the class. However, prepare to learn nothing and teach yourself.

You will work in this class. The key is to do the homework and be prepared for the next class! Find your weakness and reinforce it in Lab. She is very helpful and will spend time with a student after class. She is very fair in grading and there are no surprises on her exams!

Just horrible. I wouldn't recommend her to anybody. She is not understanding at all and she was SO rude to me for no reason. She also never wanted to help me if I had a question. She made it perfectly clear that she didn't like me. I got an A- in ACC11 with Ronald Santos (awesome teacher)and a C- in Joanne's class for ACC12.

I took every accounting class I could with Joanne. She is very thorough and helpful. If you want a good education, she makes sure you get what you paid for! Do the work and you will get an A. She is the best!

She canceled or had a sub half the classes. She gives alot of homework and then wastes half the next class dwelling on it, instead of moving on. I would not recommend this professor to someone who is easily bored. She doesn't follow threw on anything.
