Good lecturer. Stem Cell is listed an honors course so she lets you have freedom in your assignments. I wasnt an honors student but the class wasnt really any more difficult than regular classes if youre dedicated. You write a lit review paper approx 10 pages. Your classmates will procrastinate & complain. Start it early, dont be like them.

Comment:
Very poor and unclear class expectations. All her exams are open ended with unclear questions and she takes off points randomly for things that weren't asked for in her questions. Presentation was given and points were taken off with no reason besides "it could have been better" and no rubric was shown to students. Would not take again.

Comment:
Great class, good lecturer though not the best with questions. Strong neuro bias without much molecular info but its a PNB and still informative. Mild exam difficulty, some of the drawings are challenging but otherwise doable. Good use of diagrams to explain concepts. Goes well with developmental bio (MCB 4219). Teaches with Maxwell.

she goes through the information way too fast and theres way to much information to get all of it in during class soo it requires a lot of out of class work

Comment:
She teaches directly from the book, so it is not necessary to go to lecture. You are better off just reading the book because she gives long powerpoints that have too much info to write down. If you do go to lecture, just listen and don't write anything down because all the information is in the book. You will learn more if you don't take notes.

Comment:
She uses powerpoints, which have a lot of information; however, she moves along way too fast in the lecture, so there is no way you can copy the notes down. She goes through numerous subjects during one lecture, which can be confusing and overwhelming. There was not much guidance with what teh exam was goign to be like. Study guides were helpful
