Dr. Ashcroft was one of the best professors that I ever had. I attended his classes almost ten years ago, but he will be a professor that I will always remember. Disregard the student that mentioned that Dr. Ashcroft would penalize you if you missed too many classes. He is understanding, and if you can communicate that effectively he understands.

Got an A in the class, but I wound up missing 2 classes for sport events. Combined with my 2 sickness, I lost a letter grade for missing more than 3. School regulations don't allow teachers to penalize for sport event absence, yet Ashcroft didn't care. I even offered to do extra credit, he came back and said no. His ego cost me a letter grade!

ashcroft is a great guy. class can be boring but attendance reflects grade. i hated public speaking when i started this class and ended up loving it by the end. One paper on a book that makes no sense but overall not that bad

Ashcroft. Alright teacher. Easy class, the only book we needed was an 8$ one we had to write a review on. i was absent a lot and at the end of the class if you wrote him a one page paper he eliminated most of your absences. i recommend it.

Fantastic teacher. He is one of my only professors who asked the class if we had any questions to ask HIM the first day. He is very interested in the students and all speeches are about yourself (for most of the people at ESU who love talking about themselves, this class should be great). Again, A+ rating.

Ashcroft is an awsome professor and a great guy. Really gets you thinking analytically about the spectrum of communications. Ashcroft takes what most professors turn this degree into a "throw away" and makes it into a true philosophical study.

He might be the most interesting teacher I've had at any class - college, HS, middle school, elementry. I like hearing various subjects he has to talk about, unlike some professors. He's very friendly and relaxed about his class. He doesn't act like he's so into his job that it sickens you.
