Comment:

Took for spring 2018, and I had so much fun cause of ETC. The tutor Cher was really fun and broke things down from lecture that was hard to grasp. She worked with Professor G with the worksheets she gave us and it really helped on the exams. Professor G has a dry sense of humor, but is a really great professor. Take the class seriously!!!!

Comment:

Bio5 w/ professor G in Spring of 2018. 5 Lecture exams, 4 Lab exams, 10 Lab quizzes, 15 pgs Lab ch. review questions &1 Extra credit assignment. Lab exams were fairly easy, mostly memorization. Lecture exams, pretty difficult, listen to his lectures. He drops the lowest scores for both labc & drops 2 lowest quizzes. Do the work, you'll pass !

Comment:

Professor Gennity was awesome. I took his class in the Fall 2017 semester and passed with an A. I would recommend taking his class because he really is a great teacher but also take advantage of ETC because youll need somebody to break things down to you in laymans terms. Also, be respectful! He has a very strict no talking and no phones policy.

Comment:

Gennity is a great professor. He is very straight forward with what you'd need to know for each exams and even has practice exams for lectures and Study guides for labs. He's fairly lenient with the grading, and doesn't give out homework. Lecture exams include multiple choice and a few essay questions. Also a group presentation assignment too.

So I took this class fall of 2017 and it was so hard! If you want to do well ask for help, got to ETC they have and actually read I passed with an A but I had to work like no other! Good luck!

Took both his bio5 class and bio31, and he is honestly one of the best professors I have taken! The class is super hard,but he doesn't give you information you don't need to know ands the labs are so fun. If I wasn't a nursing major I think I would go into Microbiology

I wish I could go back and redo the class! I did not take it seriously and barely passed with a C . and that is with the curve he gives us. If you take this class learn from me read, study, and go to the tutoring for the class she is super good! I went from a F to a C when I took it cause she really breaks it down. Professor Gennity too!

Good professor! I this is a my second time taking the class and I actually got an A this time!!!!! I took it with another professor and did so bad. The class is tough, but if you go to the tutoring the class has and study and go to lecture you will do fine. I think the tutor really helped me out. Her name was chericka or something like that.

Good professor. I passed the class with a B. Also the tutor he has for the class is awesome and super funny. She works with Professor Gennity and breaks down the material, so even a kid can understand. You need to put the work in the class and go to tutoring to get a good grade if not then don't take the class!

Everything you need to know to prepare for the exams will be what he covers in lecture. He gives extra credit and drops the lowest exam score. Lab is easy, lecture is harder but doable. Go to the ETC sessions, it helps. You don't need the book or really need the lab manual. But you will need to answer questions and turn them in from the lab manual.

Comment:

Great teacher, gives you everything you need to pass. You don't need the text book to pass the class, but it helps. You DO need the lab manual, though. Lectures are dry, but you won't be missing any of the essential information. Kind of a tough class but that's most science courses, just put in a little work and you'll do fine.

Really easy to follow his lecture, gives you everything you need to pass (including sample test, and essay answers to all test), it up to you to put in the work and get it done. Some students say he is hard, but it's biology, its supposed to be hard, there is a whole lot of info to take in. he always makes time for question in class too.

Not as easy of an A as I thought. He drops the lowest test score. He is VERY dry and will never smile, and seems hard to approach, but I believe he does want students to do well. He provides in depth notes that cover everything on the exam so the book isn't necessary. He is a very tough grader for essay questions so be specific!

This instructor is one of the best I've had for biology courses. He may sound a little boring during lectures but everything he covers WILL be on the exams. Lecture exams are much harder than lab exams. Make sure to understand everything he covers! However, he does offer extra credit. Not an easy class, so you have to work for an A :) good luck!!

Professor Gennity covers everything that would be expected on the tests. This class does require students to buckle-down and study hard, it's a lot of memorization. Very helpful: he provides everything you need to know for tests on his notes and provides a plethora of extra credit (basically, more than enough to help a student pass).

Great for Nursing majors. Lab is very very easy. Lecture exams are difficult, make sure to study. I have horrible studying habits so I really had to buckle down on the last few exams to get an A. Lectures are boring, but he is a genius. My advice is study the power-points and essay questions on your own instead. STUDY.

He's a good teacher. His Lab exams and quizzes are easy and they mainly involve memorizing stuff from lecture. the Lecture exams are more tougher but if you study you'll do good. He drops lowest scores at the end of the semester and gives easy xrta credit. Overall good teacher you just need to put in lots of effort.

Dr.G He was a good professor. He does not take BS. His lectures are straight forward. He gives study guides for the exams which are multiple choice and 2 essay questions. We have an essay and group presentation. Clear gradin g criteria and not a tough grader. Is not easy to approach but he takes time for you to ask questions. He is funny .

Definitely one of the easier biology professors. Labs are easy so if you don't do well on lecture exams it'll balance out. No homework. Just exams and the lab which consists of quizzes, lab manual, and exams. He drops lowest scores! You still need to work for an A but it is not hard to achieve. He gives you many resources on BB so utilize them!

This man knows his stuff. Every word that exits his brain is crystal clear and valuable. Don't catch yourself dozing off because believe me, he covers everything. He doesn't expect students to know the information right off the bat, and he teaches in a humbling manner that helps absorbing the information much easier than most professors. Great guy.
