He was literally the best professor I had. Took the class online and he provided you with biweekly detailed outlines that you actually had to read and pay attention to in order to do good on the assignments. As for the the article summaries, he lets you pick anything and you just summarize the article. Really awesome dude highly recommend

Solberg made class worth going to. He is funny and respectable and has experience in this subject. The class is fairly easy, with article summaries about ethics or law in the news, homework questions, and occasional extra credit. His tests can be a little tricky, but if you really sit down and study you are sure to pass. Worth taking

Solberg is probably my favorite professor at ISU. He is so funny and the way that he relates the material to his own experiences allows for it to be easily remembered. The content is kind of a lot and made up mainly by exams, but he gives you guided notes and exactly what you should know for each exam. Definitely take a class with him!

Solberg is a great professor. Tests can be challenging because of the content. Amazing lectures. I took a 6:30pm class and I'd say 90% of the class showed up every day and not because it was mandatory. He creates a great environment for learning the material. The class applauded him on our last day of class. Very classy guy.

Love Professor Solberg! Although he lectures the whole time, he is very funny and always has good stories to relate to the material. If you miss class, it's pretty easy to get caught up on the notes. Overall, a pretty straight forward class. The tests can be hard with content, but study ahead of time and quiz yourself and you'll be good.

By far the funniest, nicest & most respected professor I've come across in the college of business so far. A former lawyer, Joe knows his material and is glad to help. He's crazy funny and lectures consist of him giving notes and telling funny stories. Test are difficult but he gives a fair amount of e.c. and homework is not hard or time consuming.

Joe Solberg is the best professor I have had at ISU. He gives examples that you will not forget, for the tests. The tests aren't hard, there isn't much of a work load, and he is the funniest professor at ISU. The only other professor I would put in the same category as him, is Bill Shields. They are both Gods amongst men.

He is the best teacher I have taken so far at ISU. He makes his lectures interesting, he gives out extra credit, and he's very personable. He likes to know names of people in in his lectures. Not intimidating at all and will share funny stories of things that has happened in his life.

I have had him at Illinois Wesleyan and he is a great professor. He is really funny and his class is very enjoyable to go to. No tests, just two papers that are not long and is an easy grader.

Solberg keeps you on the edge of your seat and uses realistic examples in his lectures, gives a ton of extra credit. If you listen to his reviews he tells you everything that'll be on the test. If you pay attention half the time you'll get an A.
