Denker is getting a very bad rap here. He is a smart man, he assigns a lot of presentations. This doesn't make him lazy; he adds good comments and provoking questions to the presenter and to the class. There is a lot of reading, but not from a tradional text book, which makes it more interesting. Good class, good professor, keep up, stay engaged.

This professor should not be teaching. I LOVE history but I learned that it is possible not to enjoy it, thank you Dr. Denker. He is very unclear about what it is we are discussing in class. I strongly urge anyone who must take the class to tell yourself you are interested, maybe that will ease the pain. Lie to yourself...best of luck

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This is the most biased, idiotic professor I have encountered. His lectures are irrelevant, boring, and unorganized. His tests are impossible to study for, he makes you look like an idiot if you dont word things exactly how he wants, and plays favorites. Killed my GPA

This class was a joke, and I mostly used the time to zone out/relax and do the reading for the class. I came into the class expecting to do little work, and I got a B for it. However, one of my friends worked incredibly hard and got the same grade.

Worst class EVER. I must warn you...Do not take this class!!! Lecture are SO boring. He is a really bad teacher too. Midterm and final r impossible to study for (way too vague). Just overall dont take him. Could easily be the worst teacher I have ever had.

He is the worst professor you could have at GW. Faulty and students know that he is a horrible teacher, but they decide to do nothing about it. You only get two essay exams and they are worth 80% of your grade. Which is pointless to study for (too vague). There is too much reading and he makes you look stupid if dont answer his question his way.

I do not enjoy Denker's class, but I don't think it deserves quite the bad rap it's gotten here. It is not easy, or fun, to try and guess the questions he is going to ask, but still...it's not a HARD class all things considered. Just read some of it and pay attention and you'll be fine. If you can stand being bored its a pretty easy B.

He awesful! I am crying right now for being sooo stupid to enroll in his class. His readings are out of the world and he picks on students to get them involved in boring discussions. Denker is possibly the least satisfying and most frustrating professor at GW. *Buries* you with reading, most of which is honestly irrelevant. Is also just an unpleasent person to be around. Tells bad jokes before class, usually stolen from Leno the night before but adds his own (unfunny) twist. DO NOT TAKE AT ALL COSTS.
