I had Dr. Mlecko for Intro to Religion 20 years ago, and still - he's the only professor I remember by name from IUP. A true gem - I'm thrilled to see he is still teaching. Take his class; you won't regret it!

I absolutely loved Dr. Mlecko. He made class fun and his schedule went around Indiana school district. If they didn't have school, you didn't have class. :) I ended up getting a B in his class. If I had the opportunity, I would take him again.

I did not like that class at all. It was a tough course to begin with and Mlecko made it worse with his shorthand on the board and not wanting to repeat anything. I have never met a guy so full of himself in my life. Every class I left wanting to scream. Trust me if u have to take a religions course- choose something else

Absolutely adore this teacher! Nice, small, old guy you is CRAZY...sings, dances, shouts, says the strangest things... I would love to be this guys good friend he cracks me up! Go to class and take notes and there is no way you will get lower than an A. If you are ok with your grade you don't have to take the final. I wish I had him again!!!

great teacher, made class interesting. Go to class and take notes thats pretty much what is on the exam. lots of oppurtunity for extra credit and i don't know if he has done this before but we didn't have to take the final if we were satisfied with our grades. recommend him

OMG! This guy is wild, but SO entertaining! Classes are a piece of cake, but you really learn something. I only took his class as an elective, but was wishing I could take another. You'll be singing the Hare Krishna song like a pro in no time.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PROF AT IUP. He made the class VERY interesting we even took a couple field trips. Very helpful at office hours, friendly... he is the definition of a great teacher, looked forward to his class every day!!! Knows his stuff.

He's wierd, and not afraid to embarrass you in class. His tests are only 10 questions which sucks because you have way too many notes and don't know what to study. You have to do 2 writing assignments which are easy. But, overall he's a good teacher.

This guy is a nut, but I like him. You have to go to class to get the notes b/c tests are completion but he makes it interesting. The time goes fast. The test book is really short and he points out exactly what you need to know. Not very difficult compared to other classes.

Dr. Joel Mlecko is the best teacher at IUP. If you especially love religion, he is the one you want to take. He is easy and fun. You will never be in the dark in his class. He doesn't just lecture or talk at you, he welcomes comments and questions. As one said, take him, you won't regret it.
