Literature & Film. I actually took it last spring, but this class was amazing. The profs really made this class soo much fun. The whole class was about Harry Potter. We read all of the books and movies. Some quizzes (online and very easy if you read the books), some papers, and a super fun project. Lots of laughs and good memories. Would retake! :)

Dr. Alberti is by far one of the best faculty at NKU. He is always willing to help and really listens when you talk to him. I've had him for two different classes and both have been very worthwhile. Do yourself a favor and register for one of his classes.

A lot of Discussion board posts, but easy. You watch a movie almost everyday, and that is what the posts are over. A few papers and quizzes over books, but overall easy way to get your literature credit if you need one. Definitely not your norm. class. Prepare for black and white films.

I could listen to this guy talk for hours. He doesn't ramble; he has a point. Alberti orchestrates a fantastic lecture and I'm upset the class I want to take this semester is all filled up because I've learned a lot from him. Just take his class even if it's an elective. I recommend taking any class he instructs. Helpful, kind, and very intelligent

Literary Criticism isn't the easiest subject to grasp, but he made it really interesting and manageable. You do a reading log for everything you read, and have some short papers during the semester and a paper as a final that's 10-15 pages, but there are no tests and as long as you write intelligently you're going to get a good grade.

Film Noir. Cool class if you are open to genre. Great prof., easy going, fun! Required write ups on each film (1-2pgs) can do skim reading (for brief discussion) and get an A. Class is 70% in class watching films, 15% lecture/discussion (30 mins of class) & 15% homework which includes reading short novel/write ups. Overall easy A & VERY interesting!
