Great guy and professor, I learned much more about life then I did about concepts in his class. I really enjoyed the classes in Chicago and D.C if he wasn't my adviser I don't know that I would of had an opportunity to visit these places and learn about the cities and society's of the area. I also had a great time in all of his classes!

If you want to actually learn something, I recommend not taking a Bing course. He discusses the same topics every class, and goes on several tangents. Easy to get an A, however.

He is one of the most intersting teachers at Heidelberg. ask anyone who has taken him. He is taken advantage in his courses beecause they are easy. which i thinks he does on purpose to get more studnets.

ITS GOOD TO BE THE BING. As a Poli Sci major he is def a good person to have on your side. I disagree with the favorites playing. He graduated from Yale. Enough Said... Heidelberg is luck to have him .

I had Bing for Anthropology and African Politics. I think that he is a Brilliant man and has the potential to make you want to understand the complexities of the world. I think that he has a lot to offer if you give him the chance.

The Bing is a force unto himself. While I am glad that not every prof. is like John, I am equally pleased that I know this man. He is bright, articulate, crazy, amusing, and above all a good time. He can teach you much - mostly about life and good times. It's good to be the Bing!

he is one of the worst teachers i have ever had. he is self-absorbed. he was my advisor for four years and didn't even remember my name. he favors men over women. i can't believe that he is still teaching and hasn't been fired ny now.
